the best resource for you question is www.shotgunworld.com check the forums out, lots of good info.
but if you are wanting a new shotgun, then I would suggest one of the three following.
1 Winchester 1300 pump 12 GA
2 Remington 870 express 12 GA pump
3 Mossberg 500 12 GA Pump
You should be able to pick up any one of those for under $300.00 new.

Remington model 870 for all you need. order 6-8 rd mag though any accessory web page and check with local laws before purchase only if that concerns you. not sure if 870 comes in camo. it is a fun pump shotgun. can be modified for home defense. Winchester make a nice pump for more cash. I purchased an H&R pump action just like winchester, pd@ $150.00 for it brand new in mat black.

If you can find a HIgh Standard M200 pump action you'll be in heaven Look for used. This is considered one one the smoothest and fastest cycling pump guns every made; be it shotgun, rifle or otherwise. I own one and it's a dream.

Sorry I can't answer because I never buy a gun to make me look "cool". I hunt with them, so in that case i'd go with the Remington 1100.

Mossberg. Goto a gunshow--you should be able to find one for that price. It really depends on what you want to do with it. Remington wingmasters are solid as well. But get a Mossy if you can, you won't be sorry.
