Christians that trust & obey Christ don't disagree. First, trust & obey God. 2nd, Judge not & you will not be judged.

Everyone usually understand things a little differently and are at different places in their walk in Christ. Some are babys, some are elders. True obedient Christians will love & forgive one another.

Carnal Christians are those that are being disobedient and unruly. They curse one another, get in unforgiveness & sometimes die early because of their own sins. They don't get that much reward either.

In the bible it does advise us not to argue about certain doctrine differences. The good seed is the Word of God sowing faith, love, joy, peace, patience, truth, etc.... The bad seed is the Devil sowing lies, slanders, discord, heresies, false accusations, false doctrine, etc...

Don't pull out the tares early because you might pull out the wheat. Wait until it is clearly seen & then remove the tares.

I don't think that being a Christian, eliminates the fact that we are human and that we make mistakes in our thinking. Even people who have something "big" in common will disagree about some things about it. Republins don't always agree with each other. Demopcrates don't always agree on everything. Science is all about proving or disproving things and not even scientists can agree with each other all the time. The list could go on.
I also think that being a Christian is a life long journey. As I become closer to God, I am learning more and things are being revealed to me. If there were two of me, me now and me 10 years ago, they would even disagree with each other. If I can't even stay the same person who I was 10 years ago, how can I expect other people to be the same as me.

Because too many people have the mistaken notion that being a Christian is the same as joining a civic club. They call themselves Christian, and some truly are. But others are nothing more than talk. They don't have a clue what the bible actually says. My parents were this type. It is a little embarrassing to admit but they actually kept our birth certificates in the bible. I guess they wanted them someplace where nobody would touch them. How sad is that. They called themselves Christians, but they didn't live as Christians. If we call ourselves Christians then we should try to be obedient to his word. How do we know what his word is unless we study it? Too many don't even bother to read the bible regularly.

Because it is healthy to agree and disagree all the time. And I'm sure we got something to go on for disagreeing or agreeing with each other, Christian or not.

I don't know! I believe and have faith in God (Jesus Christ). His birth, shedding His blood, death, and resurrection. Just because you say that you're a Christian doesn't mean anything to me! In the Bible, Jesus Christ never said that His children would be called Christians! His people would be called by His name! Now, I know why I don't pay attention much to Christians - they are usually no different than anyone else! They believe their relationship is with the name and practise of a religion called Christianity - they may not truly have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! Thanks for the question! It's a relationship thing you see!

Many Christians major in the minors. We debate (or worse) the secondary issues, and get our focus off of the essential historic Christian faith.

When Christians do depart from a genuine Scriptural doctrine, then it is advisable to discuss and try to bring the unrepentant to repentance, but there is a biblical procedure for that, and it is found in Matthew 18:15ff.

Otherwise, we should focus on the essentials, and rejoice in our fellowship with the Lord Jesus.

... Because religions are man-made, by a relatively small number of authors. But, each person has there own experiences on which to draw and on which to base their morality, and thus they have their own views about the nature of things. And since there is no supernatural deity to guide anyone, all notions about such are purely within the mind of the individual, and each individual has their own view.

Add to that the fact that the major religions are dogmatic and unyielding, and you have a recipe for rebellion by those with a differing view.

I have no clue. I believe we all need to start getting together and stop the bickering over a few words that are not agreed upon. There is one verse in the Bible that refers to this: The disciples went to Jesus and told Him about people that was teaching in His name and doing other things. Shouldn't they be stopped. Jesus replied by saying if they are not against me they are for me let them alone. So I feel if that is good enough for Jesus it is definitely good enough for me. Just love the Lord Jesus with all of your heart, soul, strength and mind. We will get along just fine. My hope for all of people who believe in Him will start loving one another in peace, joy and harmony instead of bickering like the churches in Revelations.

Because christian is such a broad term. There are so many different versions of what is "right" that most of us will never fully agree with each other.

Everyone has a different point of view and noone likes to be told they are wrong or off a bit when they believe it wholeheartedly. All that really matters is that eventually everyone will understand somehow, someway it thier own sweet time.
"God requires progress, not perfection" (read it on a church sign) :)
