Well, I'll tell you. I'm 25 and a convert to the church. I never knew real and I mean REAL happiness until I was 22 and was introduced to the gospel. I think back to when I was in high school and all the stupid mistakes I made that I probably wouldn't have had I been raised in the Gospel. You have a fantastic gift and you don't even see it, sweetheart. There are reasons why you shouldn't date before 16. It's one more year anyway... you can wait! Just have a little patience. Also, only date people your age. If you date someone older, it won't work! They will go off to college and be with people their own age. Believe it or not, there is a big difference between 15 and 18. I know its 3 years, but a lot of maturing and life lessons go on in that 3 years.
So be patient, 16 will be right around the corner. I know that it feels like a lot os expected of you... and it is, I'm not going to say otherwise. But you'll be rewarded in so many ways if you just stick with it. Hang in there.

Forget being Mormon, most parents enforce the no dating till you are 16 rule. I know mine did. Honestly 18 is too old for you so I advise you to admire him from afar for the moment. Just think when you are 20 and he's 23 and the age difference won't matter so much.. you can jump his bones. LOL

You are probably feeling the strongest feelings you've ever experienced about another person. To you this is love. You probably don't think anyone has been in your position before, but I think just about everyone falls in love around that age. Obviously you are friends and see each other (Or I really doubt it's love) Continue being friends. Time is something you have a lot of. Take advantage of it.

Kelsie,
15 years old is a bit young to be dating, anway. I have a friend who is Mennonite (a bit similar to the Mormon culture, I think?) - so I have an idea what you're going through. Just enjoy your life for now - 16 will come up in a flash! :)

Your 15. Love is extremely unlikely. Crush maybe.
As to the rest, I'll keep my mouth shut on what I think about mormonism because I'll probably get banned.

Well we have something in common. My boyfriend is a Mormon. :-P Anyways, just tough it out. If you're very devout, then stick to the rules of your religion. It's only a year, right? If it's meant to be, you both can wait. Or...you could sneak around, but I don't reccomend that.

You can choose to follow your faith or stray. You KNOW the rules. If this is true love, it will last until you are old enough to date and do so properly.
