ok if i understand this right you are 5ft 97 lb, you didnt mention your breast size (as that can make a big diference as to whether or not your fat) you dont sound fat to me, maybe a little bigger but you are still in the "cute" range i never recomend losing weight fast because when you do you will have extra skin that looks nast and it hangs in all the odd places. a few good ways to lose weight is to start doing arobic exercise (power walking, joging, runing, swimming etc.) if you have acces to a weight room or gym you can do muscle toning workouts (muscle burns fat while you sleep:) )if you dont have access to a weight room do push ups sit-ups, squats and other muscle toning exercises along this line is my favorite core(ab) exercise, its called the v-up, its similar to a sit up but the difference is that when you raisethe upper half of your body you raise your legs, you keep your arms to the side of your body to keep you from tipping (do NOT rest on them) also if you are capable of doing so a great way to boost your metabilism is to eat 5 small meals instead of 3 big ones, do not skip breakfast or anyother meal, it WILL slow your metabilism. i hope these hints help you, if you would like some more tips and hints/ resources you can either send me an e-mail (johnperry_rydz@yahoo.com) or IM me. good luck

It is a misconception that weight is fat, due to doctors & TV commercials saying that you need to lose weight. However, they do not go into detail as to what it is that you need to lose. People think they can starve themselves and not lose muscle mass. But when you do that, the body goes into defense mode and saves fat cells to survive. If you want to lose body fat and not muscle mass, you have to: 1). Eat right 2). Exercise for about 15 minutes a day 3). Take a dietary supplement called Chromium Piccolinate (OTC) 4). Get at least 7 - 8 hours of sleep a night If you speed up your metabolism, you will burn off fat not muscle.

Well, fat people are usually 200 lbs or more, so 97 pounds sounds like really skinny Paris Hilton territory. You may look out of shape if you don't exercise. Maybe you need to get into sports, but don't try to go on diets and lose weight. That will only make you feel crappy and you will really get fat. Trust me, I've been there.

It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Plus click on "Pure Water" to make sure the water you drink doesn't hurt you. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

The following Prescription of Homeopathic Remedies will help any youngster in gaining height: -

Three drops each in a sip of water just once a week.
Follow it up with these Tissue Salts: -

Four tablets each all together 3 times a day half hour before meals on an empty stomach. After finishing the whole bottles of these salts (30 Days).
If you feel that they are not making a positive difference just raise the potency of these three salts and get them in 30 instead of 6X and keep taking them till they start showing positive results.
You wont be considered fat if you gain some more height would you ? :-)
Keep me posted about your progress.

You sound young, possibly? (Just because of the "class" reference)... if this is the case, don't diet. It will only cause more problems. However, if you are older, here's some tips that might help:
Eat 4 to 5 small, healthy meals each day - not 3 large ones.
Healthy foods and exercise! Especially lean protein, vegetables, fruits, and other low calorie foods - and weight lifting.
Don't eat right before you go to bed.
Consult a dietitian if you're unsure how to diet - this will help VERY much!
Best of luck to you! :)

ok, so you're 4'9 97lbs and you think you're fat?! ARE YOU CRAZY??!!Im 4'11 and weigh 137, I'm not fat. Are you anorexic? Cause if you aren't you will be if you go on a diet. how old are you? You might have a normal weight for your age group. Twelve and under would be a little fat i think. Just a little.

First off Hun, to hell with what other people say about you! You are your own person, and you should let your self be content with how you are, body type included. I don't top five feet and I'm a few pounds over your weight, but it doesn't bother me. I embrace my womanhood, my body, and love my self for it! So no, you're not fat. But if you're truly uncomfortable with your body, cut your portions in half, and start walking everyday. Cut out sodas, candies and white breads. It makes a difference:)

I would not say you are fat but if you want to reduce,
1) Walking is the best form of exercise. 45 minutes of brisk walk at least 5 times a week.
2) Have a heavy breakfast, medium lunch & light dinner.
Early dinner would help, 3 to 4 hours before sleep.

Doesnt sound like your fat to me .sounds like your being to hard on yourself comparing yourself to other girls in your class.50% of your weight you can control and the other half is in your genetics .Try to get at least an hour of activity in a day .Being thin may not be the answer unfortunatley for all of us.Eating disorders are dangerous so try not to focus on a size but whats healthy for you .Ask your doctor.
