Don't Get Me Wrong Here?

Question

First just let me say I'm 13 and I don't know the whole "Politics" thing.Ok now here is my question:
How come people don't want them here and claim their taking their jobs? And these jobs include what most people wouldn't want to do (Ex: cleaning toilets). Are you people just being lazy and racist cause they get jobs just like that? I mean somebody has to do these jobs that normal people wouldn't want to do. Once again I'm only 13 so don't get all harsh on me.

I have a several masters degrees. I have cleaned other peoples toilets. I rather thought at the time, it might build character. So much for that idea, here I am on this site.
Keep listening dear one. See if you can understand. I hope you will have your questions answered here on line ...and not in the mean streets of the USA where the school of hard knocks, can be seriously devastating.
How would you feel, if you needed a job to feed your family and a person from another area came over and did the work for half price even though you wanted and needed the work. You wouldn't have a job. Why would someone hire you for twice the price?
Your husband/wife and children would go hungry because of this. Your rent would be raised due to competition for houseing. Your welfar "net" to help you when you were down and out, would evaporate and you would be alone in the world without food, housing medical aid and also, without a job or any hope of one.
We can't allow others to come into our country at the expense of our own people. Other Americans are very much like our extended family. Our tax dollars are suppose to be there to help Americans. The argument is that our tax dollars are going to illegal invaders who have come here and are ruining our country for you, your family and all other Americans.
You are young and have nothing to be able to do about this except to understand if you can. I hope for you and other American children, this issue is resolved properly and the illegal ones are sent home to their homelands before it is too late for the next generation. That is your generation.

The problem with illegals is they know that they do not fall into regular labor laws and can work for less than what legal people will. Because of this there has been an erosion of wages.

Also Americans will do those jobs, my former sister in law does that exact work at a hotel. The thing is we won't do that work for less than minimum wage which illegals will do, they will also do it with out medical insurance which is a reason why medical bills are so high. They know by law they are going to receive medical treatment weather or not they can pay so there is a lot of illegals who take advantage of that.

There is also a crime element that is ascociated with the illegals, mostly in Texas and California but other states have a problem as well. there are a lot of illegals in the street gangs. Not all illegals fall into this catagory but it is a problem.

So there is a lot more to the issue than just jobs, and it has been proven many times that Americans will do those jobs. Americans will do hotel and construction work, but they fall under labor laws and that makes them more expensive. Americans will do farm work as well.

Me personally I would crack down on employers, they are really the root cause.

Honey, alot of people are angry because people are coming into this country illegally. If they came in legally with the right kind of papers, then they could work and pay taxes and the Goverment would get their cut. Some people say the illegals are getting welfare, food stamps, and medicaid, but you have Americans draining the system by using these sources too. I feel that there are many Americans who are spoiled and lazy and will not go out and work in the fields picking cotton, vegetables, and fruit so the farmers depend on illegal immigrants to do the work for cheap wages. These farmers can't afford to buy tractors to do the work. People aren't thinking about the big picture, they are just being racist.

That is a myth that Americans won't do those jobs. I used to clean toilets at a Holiday Inn, and trust me I'm American. And they are taking the jobs away, you see if an employer can hire an illegal they don't have to pay as much as they would have to with an American citizen. (not even minimum wage) This is how they take a job away. Now you tell me who cleans toilets in North Dakota...they have hotels there, but not that many illegals, if any at all. Another area that they are really taking over is the construction jobs.... cheaper labor means higher profit for the employers and that's what it boils down too. Money (greed).
But again it is a myth about the "jobs Americans won't do" who did those jobs before the illegals came along. American citizens did. I encourage you to look it up for yourself and not be spoon fed the myths. I wish my own daughter was as inquisitive as you.

I don't think most people are against immigration, honey ... just those who have immigrated illegally.

Many of those illegal immigrants are burdening the health care system and welfare. That is very costly, and the money to pay for it comes from taxes ... which people aren't crazy about paying to begin with.

I agree ... many of them take jobs that Americans don't want to do or for wages that Americans won't work for. By the same token ... a great many of those illegal immigrants pay no taxes on the wages they receive ... because they are paid in cash.

The illegal immigrants don't really provide a service to most Americans ... just to businesses willing to violate the law in the interest of greater profits.

To the average American, then, the illegals are simply a drain on the health care, welfare, education and law enforcement sectors of our society ... all of which are paid for by their taxes.

I hope that will help explain the anger felt by many Americans. It isn't racial at all ... it has to do with legality and free-loading.

There are financial, economic, social, soveriegnty, legal, illegal, constitutional, international, and community issues that can only be resolved by deportation and enforcing our laws.

people need to complain about anything, but if you offered them a job cleaning toilets, they would tell you to take a hike.....Some people are happy to have any job no matter how meinial it is. People are just mean in alot of ways!

I worked my way here. Hard! I am legal and I am sick of half of my check going to other people.
Why did I do it right for others just to get it? And I am not racist nor lazy.

The only jobs Americans don't want to do are ones that do not pay minimum wage jobs
