What is the prewedding ceremony called in Vietnamese?

I need to know what the ceremony is called in Vietnamese and the English translation of it. All I know is that the bride is presented to the groom's family and vice versa, and couples carry in trays with gifts wrapped in red paper. HELP!

I've heard it translated as Betrothal Beremony, Engagement Ceremony and even Engagement Party. The last one doesn't do it justice though, it is much more important than a party.
