Take an interest in everything she does. Read to her every day. Have one on one time with her. Is it hard? YES. But it will pay off big time in the years to
come.

Spend time with her and enjoy her while she's young. You can't ever get that time back and they grow up so fast. It won't always seem like it. Sometimes you'll wish she was grown already, but take each day as a chance to learn something new with her.
And lots of hugs. Make sure she has a good female role model to turn to about stuff she may not want to ask her dad.
Don't be afraid to point out right from wrong IN A NICE WAY> Don't make the mistake of thinking daddy's little girl can do no wrong. You'l end up with a nightmare down the road if you do.
It's your job to be the parent , not the best friend, which isn't always fun.

just like mothers find time to take care of there kids onthere own..yes it is difficult and you know you are doing a good job being that you are a single parent. having personal time to yourself is really hard, i mean you are probaly that little girls world, and as she is yours. keep doing what you are doing and every parent has doubts about there parenting but i think that is normal. dont feel bad when you get aggrivated it is so normal. start having doubts when you dont ask"am i doing this right"? im sure you are doing a great job and it really does pay off in the end when you see what a great women you raised..good luck and i hope this helps a little...

I hope you're in a church. This is a really great way to connect with other parents, find out what they're doing, and get support when you need it. I'm not terribly religious, but when I was a single parent raising my son, it was a life-saver. Most kids love vacation Bible school, kids' church, etc. And don't be afraid to shop around if your child isn't smiling on Sundays.

well..... if she likes spending time wit you then she prolly loves you alot and if ur even taking care of her ur doing a good job cuz ur actually TRYING. my parents are divorced. i HATE my dad SO much. so i dont mind if he doesnt wanna spend time wit me... cuz i really dont want 2. but i hav two younger bros( 5 and 9) they love him and want to spend time wit him but he doesnt even make and effort..... and they call him by his first name now instead of dad and they r starting to not love him. so i think you ARE doing a GREAT job if ur making an effort and always ask her. kids dat age are sensitive, nd u need to know wats going on wit dem... spend sum 1 on 1 time every once in a while

Do your best to make sure she eats 3 squares a day, is clean and has clean clothes, has a roof over her head and says her prayers every day.
If she feels safe, loved and is happy, then you are doing a good job.
Why don't you ask her? Remember, money isn't love!
