Not all of the Islamic countries would unite. The ones that would are: Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine. The others don't want any part in it.

The answer to your question...we would win the war but we would lose our superpower position to China.

The fact is many countries would benefit from war such as China, and Russia.

They could sells arms, and produce resources.

It's true that oil would hurt the growth in China, but they are more flexible than us at the moment.

Hey mr. anubhab r...clarify what you mean by Islamic. There are many Muslim nations (like Turkey, Malaysia and probably Libya...some of the more progressive yet definitely Muslim nations), but the only ones who fit my description of Islamic (read: infested/controlled by the foul and evil Wahabbi/Shar'ia ways and [not necessarily both] hate the USA) are Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. If you meant reunited as in the Al-Qaida sponsored Evil Islamic Empire like the Ottoman Islamic Empire and the late Caliphates (the early Caliphates were better but will not be likely repeated)...then the USA will most likely unite (they are currently fractured somewhat between conservatives, middlemen and liberals), patch-up the differences with the European Union and the Russians (who would most likely be also threatened by said Islamic evil empire) and together turn this Islamic empire's member nations, people and lands into radioactive glass (or some reasonable facsimile). Of course the economic consequences would be horrible for my scenario's USA/European/Russian alliance but will probably be a lot better than if say the Islamic empire wins. China's position is unknown for me...but I doubt they would stand idly by in the event of an Islamic victory (they would also be threatened because they have a substantial Muslim population to their south and their treatment of them hasnt really been gracious...almost like the Tibetians). A USA/Europe/Russia/China alliance would surely shut the door on the future of the Islamist Empire (should such a monstrosity actually become reality).

Oh, yeah, what do you mean reunite? Muslim countries have never been united in the first place. And, even though the Koran spouts the concept of oneness, the Muslims are too tribal to ever unite.

The Islamic countries can't even get united enough to declare a war on Israel, so I think the USA is safe in that regard. Besides, what about the millions of Muslims who live in the USA?

Yes okay.. First, the fractured islamic governments would not get together for an all out war with the west. Why? Becasue of the large amount of islamists living int he west and the large amount os christians living in those countries.

But let us take this idea whole. So the oil rich countries take on thier biggest customer. We stop buying and eventually that slows down our military industrial complex. Thier economies crash and cannot afford to purchase arms because thier single largest export is no longer exportable. So they winner is Switzerland by a neutrality clause!

What are they coming over here on? 1 or 2 terrorist at a time will take awhile on commercial flights to get here.
Plus we have Britain & the other European countries, Japan, Canada & maybe Russua up our sleeve.
I say bring it on, I have wanted to turn their countries into a field of glass for awhile. Then we can roll back the prices of oil to everyone but the sniveling liberal Democrats. I believe that Isreal has the right idea, there is no such thing as a fair fight - just winning the fight. Our nuclear weapons can make for a one week war.

I see the U.S.A. as a third world country if the Islamic countries declared war on us. We can't control a country the size of California (Iraq), even though most of the enemies kill themselves (suicide bombers), much less a group of countries. The only way the U.S.A can win is if it is supported by at least two more countries with a strong military.

To answer your question, I see America pretty much where we are right now, less a few hundred thermonuclear warheads. Oh, yeah...and rather less flat, empty and charred than certain territories currently infested by weak minded, envious, brutal, religious zealots.
