It's common to find people to date at work. You are there for about 8 hours a day, five days a week, after all. You already have something in common with these people, so it saves a pick up line. It's easy.

Is it good? I say no. Amiable break-ups are more rare than snippy, cold, or just plain nasty break ups. Plus, after its all said and done, do you want everyone at the office to know that you still have your whole My Little Pony collection? And even if it is a story book relationship, public affection at work is usually frowned upon. And if one of you is in a higher position than the other it can make for jealousy. Did you get that promotion because you deserved it, or because you're shagging the boss?

No.

No its not a good idea to date or even go out with someone you work with! Think about what would happen if you did and you broke up for whatever reason, you would have to see this person 5 days a week.

people who answered no mentioned something about what=s gonna happen after the breakup. From my experience, breaking up is not the problem. I broke up with my co worker, we are still ok with each other, still work in same department 5 days a week. The problem is what happen when you and the co worker are in love. If you 2 are in same department, you probably cant pay attention at work and keep thinking about her. If you cant do your JOB correctly, then its a problem. Everyone needs $$$.

This is a bad idea for a lot of reasons, from jealously to no privacy. Everyone is going to be in your business. You're going to be hearing, rumors true or not. And when you guys are having an argument your work place will be the boxing ring. It is already stressful enough dealing with issues at home think of how it will be at work.

It is not a good idea to get involved with anyone from work. It could cause alot of problems. Keep your personal life on your own time. Do you really want everyone at work to know your personal business?

My heart says YES. My head says NO. I thought about dating this guy I work with and we were pretty close to starting something, until I saw how popular he was with alot of the girls in our department. Being the jealous person that I am, I quickly changed my mind about the relationship, lol. Maybe its sometimes a good thing not to mix business with pleasure ;) Ciao! Good Luck!

If you don't mind a meaningless fling its fine. If you get too seriously involved you could be in for problems and may end up having to quit the job. But sometimes that's not a bad thing either. Depends on if it is an importrant career job, or just a sh*t job.

I dated someone i worked with, at first it was fun and exciting! We would sneak off and have quickies, talk to each other all day on the phones. i always made excuses to go to his office just to see him. yeah it was fun at first but when trouble started it carried to the workplace. We got into a huge knock down dragged out fight and we both lost our jobs! Not worth it!!! Try to meet people outside the workplace unless you really have a strong feeling about this one.

No, it does cause problems. Sometimes the problems happen when you are still dating (favoritism, too busy making goo goo eyes to get your work done), sometimes it comes after the relationship is over (arguing at work, too busy being mad to get work done, splitting up mutual friends that work together). Just gets messy. Leave it alone.
