You have posted this question so many times that either you already got these shots by now or you're not getting them and just looking for sympathy from people. All you're doing is changing your screen name and asking the same question over and over. When yahoo bars you from here then it's time to change that screen name again. Get over it.

It hurts less if you use acupuncture. the point against pain is the left ear, where you would normally fasten an earring. Either keep that spot pressed with your fingers (not too hard, mind, a mild pressure will be enough) or use something else like an earring that sits very tight and puts pressure on your ear. Maybe you'll laugh now, but I swear it helped me at the dentist when my wisdom teeth had to be removed. This is not just a "could work" advice, it definitely helps. The Chinese have used that for 5000 years. Good luck dear, and don't be scared. :-)
But please remember, it's always the left ear, never the right.

I used to be afraid of needles too but when I got diagnosed at twenty-one with diabetes and had to start taking a needle twice a day or die I quickly became used to them and the truth is they don't hurt that much. Sometimes not at all.
If you are tense, your muscles are constricted and the shot will hurt more than if you can relax your arm. Try to focus on something else while you get your shot and don't dwell on your fears. Think of the alternatives: death or a little pin prick. Hmmmm.......gotta pick the pinprick!

Turn your head away from the action. You could think about being on an island. While the 3 nurses are in the room could they not all give you a shot at the same time to get it over quicker???

Don't look, take a deep breath, and its over. You can try talking to someone else in the room; get into a conversation with them so you are distracted when they give you the shot. Don't focus on how much it will hurt before you get it. Often the anticipation of pain is far greater than the pain itself.

The more you get worked up and tense about it the worse it is. Millions of people get shots every day and nobody dies from it, so don't worry about it. People get shot and stabbed and live through it. This is just a tiny little needle and if the nurse is good and experienced, and you do your part and not tense all up, you will hardly feel anything. Take my word for it.

Just stop thinking about it. Once when I went to the doctor, (I had a cold that was affecting my asthma for over 2 weeks) he told me I had to get a flu and a pneumonia shot. I just started thinking about something else to keep my mind off of it. I closed my eyes while he was giving me a shot, and I tensed the muscles in my toes. For me it helped, and I didn't even have 5 minutes to think about getting the shot, it happened within 2 minutes. Just get it over with...think about it. It's only about a 5-6 minute period in your life where you have to get 3 little shots. Think of it as being painless!

Like Nike Just Do It, don't think about it; would you rather have the shots then to be laid up for weeks at a time w/ some illness that could lead to blindness or death; temporary pain saving you from long term suffering

there really is no reason to be nervous, yah, it hurts a little, and a tetanus hurts alot, but think about it like this, i've been stuck five times in the past month for IV's, those hurt much more because they like to fish in my arm to hit the vein. when it starts to really hurt, i sing the abc's ba ba black sheep, twinkle twinkle little star, breathe deep, and let them do what they have to, you're young, and just think, soon, you won't have to get a shot but about every ten years to update your tetanus shot if your lucky. just breathe and sing your little heart out, lmao

I would suggest trying to concentrate on one object, like a crack in the floor tiles or a poster or something, and DON'T LOOK AT THE NEEDLES. Take deep breaths and try to sit still. The less you move, the less the shots hurt.
Best wishes tomorrow! =)
