According to Corona's website, they do not sell their beer in draught form in the US. It IS available in select other markets.
They do not explain why.
It really doesn't make sense to me, as Corona is the top import beer in the US. They are also 50% owned by Anheuser-Busch, which is one of the greatest marketing/distribution machines in the beer world.
If I had to venture a guess, Corona is very proud of their distinctive painted, clear bottles (although clear bottles cause beer to spoil much faster than brown or green glass). They have gone through considerable effort to market that bottle, their beer, and a lime. It's the classic image that you get, and it's the taste that people expect from Corona. Beer does NOT taste the same on tap as it does in the bottle. It conditions differently, delivers differently, and ages differently. Plus, in the bottle, you have control as the brewer...you never have to worry about how often a bar cleans their lines, what their pressure is at, etc, etc.
To me, it looks like a marketing decision.
Cheers.

RE:
Why is Corona never on tap?
Of all the beers of the world, it seems that no restaurant ever has Corona on tap. It doesn't seem to be Mexican beers that are not on tap because some places have Tecate on tap. Is it the manufacturer's or brewer's decision not to have their beer on tap? If so, why would they decide...

Weird. I never noticed that until you just mentioned it. I think bottled beer tastes better, and I find Corona goes flat quick, maybe that has something to do with it.
