I'd try Cafe du Monde for some beignets [nice breakfast or late night snack]. <3
There's a reason why it's famous. ;}

In downtown New Orleans - Tujagues. Set menu, absolutely fabulous! It's opposite from the Café du Monde.
In Henderson, LA - Pat's Fisherman's Wharf. The best craw fish in the State. Just off Hwy 10 between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
Bon Appetit!

Commander's Palace. Use to work there before Katrina. You use to have to make reservations but I am certain a few things are different. The number is 504-896-7628. Also Cafe Adelaide or any of the Brennans restaurants are great dining experiences. Enjoy!!!

Irene's Cuisine--small, quaint and has the best chocolate hazelnut truffle there ever was!
Croissant D'Or has a wonderful breakfast!
Bella Luna has great food and you can sit out outside and look at the Mississippi.
Gumbo Pot has authentic LA style cuisine.
Hope this helps!

in New Orleans, you must try breakfast at Court of Two Sisters, also Brennan's is very good. I'm still partial to the Lucky Dog dudes though.

There are so many good restaurants in New Orleans. Try any local websites that would help you narrow down your choices.
