We had a problem with a camper that pulled into the line of Jags I was driving with. He slowed to about 40 mph on corners I can normally do at 65, knew he was holding up a string of eight cars--and had plenty of opportunities to pull safely over and let us pass on the long, long twisty road we were on. But NO.
Since we were at high altitude on a steep grade, the very high-mileage XJ6 I was driving just didn't have the juice to get past the bastard in the passing zones--and this was maddening, because most of the curves were downhill and I could have taken them faster than the camper could ever manage safely. The rest of the Jags shot past him at 70 and were gone. It took me a half hour to get by him, and I think I might have crisped the brakes (the poor thing's saddled with a three-speed automatic transmission).
I made up for it later by blasting past every slow car I could manage in the E-type. It made me feel much better.

People are so stupid..I hate that.
The worst was last weekend. I was stuck on a highway behind an F-350 truck pulling an RV which was pulling a trailer that had a boat on it.
Talk about natural selection....OH, and the speed limit was 70, he was going 63. And then he glared at me when I passed on the right. What a dork.

The laws don't specify which lane is a "fast lane" it's assumed which also means that yes you too can pass on the right if you don't leave the travel portion of the road.

and why are people afraid to be behind semis? you pull in front of me..and dont speed up to pass..come on now!

people are rude about that. i hate it. the fast lane is for fast/passing traffic. you should not be on your phone or anything else that is distracting to you while in this lane. i will get road rage and shake my annoyed fist at you!

this is the safest lane on the freeway. only jerks do this if there is not very much traffic..... otherwise they see that you are coming up on them and they move over for the faster vehicle.... then drift back over to thier safe lane.
