Chances are they will get worse if you dont wear them, just because you'll be straining yourself to look at things.
But for some people it can just stay the same or even correct itself, I'd say go get them anyway, and if you're uncomfortable with glasses, there are always contacts :)

I'd say yes, I have the astigmatism in one eye which is now to the point where I need bifocals, my right eye has become more far sighted to make up for the other and I frequently get headaches. I quit wearing mine about 5 years ago.

Yes it would...too much strain, you'd be squinting all the time. Your Rx is probably written as -0.50 -*** x***. An astigmatism is what causes your vision to be blurry. The -0.50 is not so bad, it's the astigmatism that will get ya.

I have been told that it is good to remove your glasses from time to time, so taking them off to talk to friends is fine. As far as your vision improving or getting worse, only your doctor can say-although even he cannot say for certain. As far as the wedge on your nose- this sholdn't happen. Ask your doc to make some adjustment or modification to your glasses.

I put off wearing glasses for 15 years. No, my eyes did not worsen. But, I think I got more wrinkles from squinting, lol.

It is best to. Because you are so young the glasses may reverse your eye condition. I wish I had worn mine when I was your age. Now I fart around every day with contacts..pain in the butt!!

Yes, it can but your eye Doctor should be able to advise you this. I don't think they go though all the school to tell you nah it's OK don't wear these medical perscrbed lenses.
