I really like my best guy friend, and I've liked him for three straight years. He seems to like me-at least that's what my other best friend tells me- but he hasn't asked me out. Please, please, PLEASE tell me what I should do!!!!

There are two possibilities. A) He's not interested and doesn't want to hurt your feelings so he pretends not to get it. Or B) He's not getting the hint. We men are simple people, think about all the ways we hit on women. The only time that there is ambiguity in our pursuit is when we do something very stupid that we think will impress her (i.e. open 10 beer cans with our teeth).
We are blunt and we are insecure. No move will ever be made by a guy who likes a girl but thinks she's not interested. That will kill the friendship and any chance he may have in the future.
If you want him to get the hint you must say I like you lets kiss (or what ever it is you want to do). If he says no then move on to your next fellow.

Because guys are wired differently than females. It takes them awhile to notice the true signs of a female who is truly interested. Or if they do realize they try to brush it off as a very close friendship.

It doesn't always. But some times a guy might realize that a girl likes him, but isn't sure if that's what he's realizing or not. He wants to be sure that, that's really the message he's getting from her. Guys don't want trouble or comlications.

It could possibly be that he would never think that this particular girl is interested in them. Even if a popular girl liked a nerd, he would never figure that she would like him because of their positions in a popularity heirarchy.

because they're idiots, you really have to be blunt with guys, because they don't get hints. if you want them to know something tell them straight out.
