It will probably help if you try to make the pony tail a little higher. Just brush your stubborn part back straight starting from the top of your forehead. If you want to make sure it stays, hair spray it with a good holding spray. I have long hair too and this works fine for me.

Glad you asked!!;) You wet your hair a bit, or just after a shower, brush your hair. Now go to your bedroom, and lie across your bed with your head hanging over the edge. Brush it all straight back, whack a hair tie in it at this stage, and Bob's yer Uncle!! A bit of wax might help keep the dreaded part at bay, also.. Good luck! ;)

Brush your hair straight, then brush it back from your bangs down the middle to the back, along the part. This will make the part go away. Brush it back from your bangs, then pull the rest of it up and put a pretty scunchi in it.

i dont know how to say this in english, but i wil try.

get your hair in a ponytail way but holding it with your hand.
then.. the tricky part: holding you hair with one hand, with the other comb and give shape to your hair with your comb opening your hand to let the comb pass and style your hair.

Also make it higher than you want it, so it can stay in perfect place.

then very carefully turning your hands a lot, take the rubber and put it in your hair, and secure it and bam!!!that's it.

you have a natural part in the center, brush you hair back from the front of your head and hold it with one had as you brush it together this will push the two sides of the part together. Once you have your hair held in the position you want it, tie it back with the hair tie.

use a brush to brush it all back

in my opinion there is no "perfect" pony tail and i think it looks better if sum1 has the part instead of the of it allpulled back

if you think that a simple part down the middle is boring then you can do a part on the side to make it look more characterized

im going to assume you want a slicked back look.. i would try using a light gel to hold the hair down and i use a small tooth comb to slick my hair right back and fasten with some Goody Ouchless bands finish with a bit of hairspray to hold in place and Voila!

Try two ponytails in the back. Very cute.

When you're getting out of the shower while your hair is still wet, don't seperate your hair. Simple. That's how I do it.

this may seem weird, but i lay upside down on my bed so all my hair is hanging off the edge. Then brush back with comb.
