What do women look for in a man?

Before I met my husband, I had written what I was looking for. I only remember the first part now, but it took up 2 legal size papers front side only. I was 18 at the time and just decided to write down what I was looking for in a man. It started out like this:

I want a single, decent, mature male between the ages of 21 and 27 that doesn't think California is the goddess state (meaning he doesn't worship California-nothing about the women there), doesn't do hard drugs (anything other than weed is hard in my opinion), is honest, dependable, doesn't watch tons of sports and can take his eyes off of a television when I talk (I wasn't even going to have to deal with those two).

I knew what I wanted, and I got it. We've been together over 13 years- married almost 10. Going to Dallas/Viking game for anniversary. =) I only said that he don't watch tons of sports and I meant on TV. He's an amazing cook, can clean house faster than anyone, and I love his last name. Wanted this last name before I even met him.

Sorry didn't mean to go on. I talk when I'm happy and apparently type too.

This is the same for man, we can stand like and island or like a mountain, but at the end of the day, a man or a woman can not prove what make them who they are unless they have the opposite sex to express and appreciate what makes them who they are.

This answer can be different when it comes to the same sex, however the answer is based on the question.

money, someone that says yes to everything they ask for, This is a real answer, I have been married 3 times, and as long as I was saying yes then life is good. But heaven for bid if I ask them to cook dinner or do a little cleaning, "thats it I am leavine and taking the kids!" "you sound like my father!" maybe I have just been real lucky but I am done wonder what women look for in a MAN.

Each woman is different in her own way, but we all like to feel special, so basically women look for attention. When that special woman is talking to you, just make her feel comfortable by listening. If you listen to a woman, she'll tell you exactly what her individual wants are, not just fake listening either, give her some feedback by trying to relate to her and sharing your own experiences, she'll appreciate that, and be more open and honest with you, so you won't have to play a guessing game. Woman also look for guys that can make them laugh, you can make her feel more comfortable that way, too.

every girl is different and we dont all look for a hot guy with lots of cash and a killer body. Most girls like a guy that makes them feel loved, protected, cherished and important. Love doesnt see the appearance of someone. If a girl only cares about looks she probably wouldnt make a good girlfriend anyway.

Depends on the girl. But most look for personalilty, A nice and caring person. They also look for some common ground between them and the guy, trust, and a sense of humor which is a definite.

A big lump in his pants. Not in the middle, rather on the side of his pants. A fat wallet (and a nice car too). Women always say that men are superficial, well women are too. Men go for looks, women go for things.

They don't really know. There is a physical attraction for the leader of the pack / good provider / bad boy. The relationship will be more long-lasting if he is a good conflict resolver, but he'll never be picked in the first place because of this.

Whats done in the dark WILL come to the light so don't even start the deceptions
and finally... a car and a job we (women) don't like playing taxi and footing the bill ALL the time

well every female is different but we're all looking for a loyal man- NOT a physical or verbal abuser- one who actually understands- I hate the ones that think they have 2 act a certain way- it's so annoying just relax- I look for the ones that stay true 2 themselves n are confident
