If you are to 'love thy neighbor'; why do some of you seek to tell every one that is not of your faith that they a doomed for all eternity? What about Islam who worship the same God that Christians and Jews do so how can some of your fellow Muslims hate Christians and Jews?

I do know what I am talking about; because like you divprod I am a student, and unlike you I pay attention when someone presents the facts to me. I may be Pagan, but at least I have the respect to say that I have no clue what will happen affter death, nor do I condem anyone for what they believe. I used to be Christian by the way and your coment was not Christian like.

we have to love you, but we don't have to like you.

haha ok enough with the sarcasm. Nobody, christian or otherwise has the right to truly condem or judge somebody. The bible tells us to judge not, lest ye be judged. so if a christian does judge you, just tell them there not being very christ like.

I do think though, that at least on here, many ppl do ask to be "attacked". They say, or ask things knowing all well that ppl will get all riled up. Not that either is right though.

And muslims, often have a problem with christians because of our ideals. they think americans are wrong for not beating there wives, and letting them get jobs, and be things other then barefoot and pregnant. I do not in any way think that ALL muslims think this way. And I do know there are many christians that think this way. They also reject america's "loose" stance on things like homosexuality. Believe it or not, while many americans think we are too hard on them, many other nations think that by not mudering them, we are doing wrong by God.

As for the Jews, some muslims feel wronged by them. Like they deserve iseral more then the jews. That all goes down to politcs, something I don't fully understand, so won't comment on. But it all, or at least mostly has to do with the "holy land" and who is its rightful owner.

It really sucks that things are the way they are, but you're right...christians have no right to condem others, only God has the power to judge. Some people call themselves christians because they go to church or maybe they were Baptized when they were babies, but they don't grasp the concept of living for God. We should all love on another, and nobody is doomed for all eternity...that would contradict the fact that God is loving and caring. I guess some ppl just get hung up over rules and policies and factions, and they forget what it means to be a Christian... and none of us are perfect! We mess up, too, just as much as anyone else!

We should not ever condemn another person, as we are told in the bible not to judge one another; to do so is going against Christianity. It is God's job, not ours to decide on our eternal fate.

However, we are obligated to let people know the Word of God and the commandments. This does not mean we are condemning, but trying to provide guidance to God.

If I have a friend who is standing in the middle of the road and I see a bus coming toward them, they're standing in the other direction and cannot see it, do I not have an obligation to warn them there is a bus about run them over?

Same thing applies to our faith. We are asked by Jesus to share his word, to care for the least of his children, to take care and love others as he has loved us.

Most Muslims and Jews do not hate Christians, and most Christians do not hate Muslims and Jews. It is the unfortunate small minority who take the Word of God out of context or have not sufficiently learned them who have chosen a way that is not of God but riddled with hatred, which is against God.

The God of Islam is NOT the same God of Christians. The god of Islam is NOT a triune God as is the God Christianity. Islam, Jews and Christians DO NOT worship the same God. Islam denies that Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God. They only believe He was a great prophet. Either you believe that Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh or you don't; there is no other way around it.

I will not condemn you. The reason I will not it says in the Bible Judge not lest you be judged accordingly. I do not judge the Islamic peoples. I feel so sorry for the mother's that cry over their children when they are killed. I hope that Israel and Lebanon settles their differences soon so no more grandmothers and children die. The Bible teaches to love one another. I can not answer your question. I am a Christian. Hopefully I become more Christ like as the days go by. I met the nicest people who are Hindu, maybe not of my belief but oh so sweet.

Actually, we do not tell those not of our faith that they are doomed for all eternity. God does that. When Jesus came the first time, He came as the messiah--the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men regardless of their religion. The only response we are required to make is to believe in Jesus as the messiah. He told the leaders of His day, "if you do not believe that I AM, you are dead in your sins." When Jesus returns, He will come to judge and will condemn all who do not accept Him.

Jews and Muslins do not worship the same God as christians. Jews worship the personality that christians call "The Father". Muslim claim to worship the same god as Jews, but they hold Mohammed is such high esteem that they appear to worship him. Jesus is ridiculed quite often, but you never see christians rioting. You saw what happened when some cartoons featuring Mohammed were published.

Christians worship one God, but we see three persons in Him. This is somewhat of a mystery and requires faith because it cannot be explained. The closest thing I have ever heard to an explanation is this: We each wear a number of different "hats" in our lives--parent, child, employee, friend, spouse, etc. We are still the same person, but we fulfill different distinct roles.

Jesus tells us to do more than love our neighbor. He tells us to love our enemy and do good to those who hate us. I have challenged the ladies in the Bible study class that I teach to pray for Osama bin Laden and all those who act in hatred and violence. This is not an easy thing to do and that is why Jesus commanded it. It is easy to love those who love us and pray for those we like/love. Loving an enemy is hard. But Jesus says that, when we do that, it is like heaping hot coals on his head. How does one rationally respond with hatred to one who shows him kindness. Think about it.

You are sadly mistaken, pal; Islam does NOT worship the same God as Christians.

Get a life and go learn what you are talking about. Then maybe you won't put your foot in your mouth before making dumb accusations against Christians.

If they do do that they shoulden't be calling themselves Christians. Jews and Muslims worship differently than Christians do, and God loves everyone equally regardless of how they worsip or their religon.

We are sorry for that. Christians are also human, human is not perfect but we are learning to be perfect. We do not have a perfect church, but we have a perfect God. You will never be satisfied with human, but only to God can will satisfy your need and concern. So, look to God and you will live better and much happier. Love people and trust God, not love God trust people. (Priority concern)

It is not anyones posistion to condem (Christian or otherwise). We are ALL already condemned as sinners. However, the good news is that through the blood of Jesus can you be saved.
