if a guy wants to go out on a date with me he has to ask my father....sooo the thing is...im still waiting for a guy to have enough guts to ask...r there anyout there????????
why do guys find it hard to ask????

If he does not respect your parents he does not care about YOU!
To ask your father is not negative! He should feel proud of himself to the point that he would want your father to see him and he should want your father to feel good about you being with him!
I do not know your father but I respect him already!
It does not take guts, but it does require have true feelings about
you and respect for your parents is part of that respect!
Like grandma told me, if you don't wanna bring here home for me to see, you don't need to be with her!
Don't worry, young lady, just go where you like to go, do the things that you like to do and when you are not looking or thinking,
nature will put him in your face and he will run to meet your parents if that what it takes to get a date with you.
Stay away from the ones that do not want to meet your dad!!!!!!!!!!!1

you're going to learn that parents kinda run the show no matter how much you try to fight it. it is intimidating enough to ask the girl out but then to ask the father too?! i think your dad is doing it for your own protection. some parents are just a little more strict than others. i had strict parents. you'll probably hate it growing up but be really thankful later. plus, when you do find that one guy who is willing to meet and ask your dad first, you'll knkow he really likes you. it's like a built in "bad boyfriend" filter!

HE'S AFRAID OF YOUR OLD MAN! But I think it's a very nice idea. Here's something to think about: tell your Dad that someone wants to ask you for a date and he's coming over. That way Dad is prepared before the guy gets there. Introduce them, talk a while and then excuse them saying, "Dad, Joe wants to ask you something". Joe, should say "Respectfully, sir, I'd like to take your daughter to the movies tomorrow if you will allow it."....Hey your Dad will flip over this respectful kid! Go for it!

Because it's easier to play at being serious when you don't talk to an adult about it. Talking to your dad makes it a serious date, sort of a commitment. It also means they may not be acceptable to your father. Kinda scary, but your father is saving you from having to say 'no' to a lot of cheesy guys who only want to play around or waste your time.

I agree with redpeach. Of course guys are gonna be scared off. It's okay to be a daddy's girl, but they shouldn't have to ask his permission to take you out on a date. He doesn't own you, and never will. You're free to make your own decisions in life.

because it's weird. if i were a guy, i would completely skip over a girl that i had to ask her father for a date. he wants to date you, not your father. your father doesn't own you.
