What are some universal conversation topics for picking up?

I've approached, made my introductions and she hasn't called the bouncers on me. I'm in.
Now what? What are some things to talk about with the girl you want to take home? (It's hard when you don't know a thing about her, and quizing her about herself is a turn off.)
Lets assume I'm not Brad Pitt and therefore words matter.

be real and be yourself

talk about what you like and do but make sure you spend some time asking her about what she likes and does

if you balance it - it wont seem like quizzing nor will it seem that you only talk about yourself!

Girls are very smart and know when they're being handed lines.
My advice to you is don't look for a girl to "pick up" and "take home." Girls aren't groceries! Look for a girl to talk to. Enjoy the conversation. Go home alone. If you need someone right away, by an inflatable doll...an inflatable doll will serve the same purpose and a young woman won't have to suffer any self-esteem issues thanks to your insensitivity.
If you are seriously relationship minded, start volunteering in your community. Or join a city ball team...Or take a community art class....do something interesting and meet someone while you are there.
Rather than rack your brain trying to figure out what to talk about with a girl...involve yourself in an activity that is meaningful to you and meet someone there...then bada bing! There's your conversation piece.
But as I said, don't look for a girl to just pick up and take home...

The best topic to talk about is music and movies. if thats not the case bring up a book or magazine. get some topics from men magazines especially playboy articles. Women like intelligent men who know what there saying. if that don't work give her some ecstacy.
