If the earth was created by god when he says how did so many people spread out from the Middle East so fast? How could they have crossed the ocean before the technology was available to do so. When we first were able to cross over to what we call the America's there were already established countries there with there own set of values and beliefs. I know the Bearing Strait would have been an option but don't you think it would have been difficult way back then to make the journey to it? Also, wouldn't the people who crossed already know about christianity and would have believed in it? When the christians discovered and recorded it they knew nothing of one god and worshiped omens and multiple gods. And one final point, why would we all look different? We have a long enough recorded history to know that if people from these different regions were going to change in only a few thousand years from how we originally looked, we would have noticed more changes by now. Thanks for the answers.

Could the ocean really be crossed in a "boat"?

Also, I was referring to the different regions of the earth when I mentioned how people look different. We are talking serious differences here, not to mention how each area of the world typically has its own religion.

I've said it many times, I believe that evolution occurred while Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden. There is absolutely no record in the Bible (which I believe is 100% accurate) of how long they stayed in the Garden.
I believe that Adam and Eve were the first "man", in that they were the first to have a soul, they were the first to be made in the image of God.
There are several reasons why I think this. Why did God make a garden? Who was He trying to protect and from what? Also, such a theory will also explain the verses about Cain leaving and going to find a wife in another country. It explains how it was possible for humans to be spread throughout the world by the time Noah came about.
Explains a lot as far as I'm concerned lol.

well you have asked quite a few questions first thing first .people would be wanting to have there own land and space perhaps fleeing persecution therefore they would try to get away . What makes you think the people that were in the Americas didn't just come and make there own colonies etc. . Also Christianity was only started 2000 years ago. . Thinking that the world was not created by a creator is like thinking that a book is written by putting a pen in a bag and shaking it. People don't want to admit there is a creator because they don't want to be held accountable for their wrong doing. After all people need to have a law against murder for them to think it isn't acceptable
A question for evolutionists if we evolved from apes why are there still apes?

Good question. Actually, scientists have done tests of dna and found that the bible account is very accurate as everything can be traced back to an area around what we now call Iraq. As for how so many can multiply so fast, have you ever done a genealogy tree? If you ever do, you will find that people multiply really fast, more so than you may think. If you live for 80 years and you have 12 kids, each of them has 12 kids, and each of them has 12 kids, in just three generations you have a family that began with just two people go to at least 38, not counting the spouses. Now if you take into account the life span of those that lived even after the flood, you will find that they were living 400 to 500 years yet. So if you take those numbers and do the math, you find something akin to rabbits. When the people went their separate ways, they did not all retain the knowledge of God but some fell away and did not teach it to their children so that could be one way it was lost. People back then were very good at doing things we would not think they could know today but they built great ships and all sorts of things with very little tools of any kind. We have all the power tools but they had simple tools but knew how to use them to the best extent. If you look at some of the ships of the 1700's and think of how they could do that with no power tools or hydraulic jacks and such, it seems impossible but there are ships today from that period and they have massive pieces of wood that are all one piece. Seems impossible but I have seen them and wondered how like you. If you look at the bible history of the Jews, you find they were not always faithful to God and yet they had so many things that said there He is and He is protecting them. Yet, there was idolatry and disobedience and being very stubborn about things just as we are today. Just because people know about God at one time in their lives does not mean they always stick to that belief and faith. People used to cross the ocean with nothing but the stars in the sky. When you live outside and don't have tv to distract you, you find a lot of good in the sky and study the stars and moon phases and such so that you can learn to navigate with the stars to go about anywhere you want to go. When Columbus came to America, he did not have a lot of fancy equipment and did not know really where he was going but to India. He thought this was India at first. He had no idea where he was but he could get back to Spain by the stars. You don't need a lot of technology to cross oceans, just a lot of guts or sheer stupidity if you want to call it that. This dispersion of people across the continents is not an issue solely for those who believe in the concept of creation.
There are a few different theories about how the Americas were populated ... for a very significant length of time prior to colonization by Europe.
I remember reading a piece many years ago of a man who theorized the South Americas could have been reached by a small raft-like boat from some of the islands in the South Pacific. He tested his hypothesis by constructing a device similar to what he believe would have been used and then attempted the journey. I think he was successful.
Despite the potential for travel, the situation still weighs heavily AGAINST the concepts of creation. The opponents of evolution (whom are often proponents of creation) often argue against the possibility of species having evolved within the available time (millions of years) ... yet they are more than willing to claim a single species, originating from a central location and with a very tight gene pool, expanded and developed into a wide array of diverse groups (both physically and socially) over what amounts to time required for a single grain of sand to fall in an hourglass (compared to the time table they argue against).

The historical facts in the Bible has one purpose only: to point us to God. If God should give us all the details, then we'll all become Gods. The point is, there is a begining and there is an end; both determined by the One true God that we all look for through different directions. Adam and Eve are historical people that told us that there is a God that is seriously involved in the affairs of man. It's not about middle east or america but about the limitedness of life (man as we are now) and the infinity of God (man but as in beings; original intention of God)

this route has been maped out many times by christian geographical scientists. If the ocean were just a littel shallower (which we know it was a few thousand years ago,) there were routes through europe, past icelan, into north america, and from california all the way to japan, and even down to australia.
The paths were narrow, but they were there. And as for people looking different... they really don't look that different from each other.... And yes changes are great say if a white person and an asian person breed. and that's like 1 generation! so what, 40 years! that's lots of time for people to change their appearance!
PS i believe Adam and Eve were Asia, just cuz they are the worlwide majority :)

People spreading out from the Middle East -- or from Africa, depending on which version you subscribe to -- mostly occurred on foot. Crossing the ocean was unnecessary for the most part; the Bering land bridge that used to connect Alaska and Siberia allowed people to walk across from Asia to North America. The islands in the Pacific didn't get settled until people learned to sail.
As to people already knowing about Christianity before making the crossing, no way. Christianity has only been around for a bit over 2,000 years. The first humans arrived in mesoamerica over a hundred-thousand years before that.
On all people looking different, there are a number of theories. The best, in my opinion, involves what's called sexual selection. Basically, people who conformed most closely to local standards of beauty had an easier time finding mates -- and making babies who looked like their parents. After a while certain traits would get concentrated in local populations. Natural selection is still a factor, of course; in cold Europe with its limited opportunities for exposure to sunlight light-skinned people didn't die of vitamin D deficiency as often as dark-skinned people did.
Finally, the reason that we don't notice more changes is because all of the stuff I mentioned before is part of microevolution -- change within a species. Natural selection and selective breeding can effect microevolutionary changes easily. Macroevolution -- change that produces new species -- is achieved through a different mechanism (punctuated equilibrium according to current theory). Curiously, Darwin formulated his theory of macroevolution (which is what most of us have been conditioned to think of when we hear the word "evolution") by observing instances of microevolution.

How long do you think this would take? I mean.....we could be talking a million years (I dont know...I am just saying that not all Christians are young earth creationists) and surey people would have expanded, migrated etc.....As far as looking different, have you ever taken an anthropology course?
I guess You must just be assuming that people who believe that God created the world are all young earth creationists.....don't be so quick to pigeon-hole us. Many of us are more on the side of Intelligent Design by a personal creator.....

haha since my father is a historian AND a christian, I wouldn't say all christains ignore basic history.
But to answer your question I really don't know. This puzzles me as well. One thing I do know, is there are things the bible doesn't mention. It has NO stance on dinosaurs. There are references to some (ie. behemouths) but they don't actualy mention a t rex. Not EVERYTHING was included in the bible. It is historical record, and can be backed up historically. Just because certain ppl claim to say it is untrue is no real point. Ppl thought the earth was flat too, and many weren't really wrong, they just didn't know better.

God is not real, humans arose in Africa through the process of evolution and then they spread to Asia/Europe. Back in the time of early humans most of the world was covered in ice. They followed heards of animals that they hunted across an ice bridge to North America. We all look different because race is a form of adaptive radiation. If people had remained isolated to the land where their race arose all of the different would've become different species millions of years later.
