Bad... depends on everyone's limit of pain though. Some people can't take it, some love it.

Tongue piercings: depends on the tongue. Some people have very sensitive nerves that run up the middle of their tongue so it hurts a lot, but other people's most sensitive nerves are a little more off to the side so it doesn't hurt as bad. They get easily infected though and there are many foods (like anything with tomato sauce, including pizza) that you can't eat for months afterwards. It also swells up a lot at first and you can't talk.

Belly button piercings: Don't hurt quite as much. Most of the area around the belly button are just fat cells that absorb the pain. They also get infected kind of easily and you need to take very meticulous care of them for the first couple months. Clean with antibacterial soap at least 2 or 3 times a day at first.

Tattoos: Described as an addictive pain. My boyfriend has 3 already (that he got all within a couple months) and is planning on at least 3 or 4 more. Most people expect it to be the most excrutiating pain of their life, and then it's not quite *that* bad. So if you are planning on getting a tattoo, just go in expecting to bawl your eyes out, and then when it's not quite that bad, you'll feel better. It also depends where you get it. It hurts least on fatty areas (butt, thigh, breast, etc), medium on muscles (arm, stomache, etc) and most on bones (feet, lower back, shoulder blades, etc). It also depends on the colors and size. Darker colors hurt more because they need to go over the area over and over to get it as dark as you want. Although lighter colors are harder to remove from your skin if you ever decide to get the tattoo removed.

Good luck!! Just make sure that it's exactly what you want before you endure the pain of it!

Depends on where they ae getting done. I have 11 piercings..2 on both ear lobes, 2 on the top on on ear, 1 on the top of the other, my tragus, rooke, belly button, nose (self done)..the worst of those was the belly. WHOA!! It hurts for a bit afterwards, more uncomfortable as you get used to a new piercing. My nose doenst count..when done professionally it doesnt hurt, mine grew in so i just popped it through again and it hurt like hell..do not try this...I was an idiot.
I have 5 tatts. armband (that's 2 tats joined)..an ankle tat, a dragon that runs from my knee to my ankle and last Tues I got one on my forearm about 4 cms long and that one hurt the most..truthfully, it all depends on your pain level...some people can't handle needles and such...tats hurt afterwards due to the healing process and you will scab and it will be itchy to the point where you will want to scratch the crap out of a new tat..but it is temporary..the bigger the tat, the longer the healing time, which means the more uncomfortable you will be.
Don't go into a tat/piercing place thinking it will hurt..a pierce takes a few minutes and BAM, it's done and you will then realize that you spent more time worrying about pain than the time it took the piercing to pierce you...just enjoy body modification..no pain.no beauty

tongue piercings and nipple piercings hurt heaps more after they're done then when they actually peirce you, tattoos depend on how big they are, how many colors you use, and where they are. The two black ones on my wrists didn't hurt at all, the black one on my upper back only sorta hurt and the colorful one on my lower back was hell, belly buttons don't really hurt at all (but they are kind of played out), mostly though it's up to your pain threshold....start with a peircing first, if that's too painful probably best to stay away from tattoos.....

Ummm... I only have my ears and nose pierced. I'm too chicken to get my tongue pierced and too modest to get my belly button pierced. Tattoos... my first one hurt because I was really scared and didn't know what to expect- I almost fainted several times. Second and third ones were a breeze.

My tongue piercing didn't hurt when I initially got the piercing, it hurts for the next maybe 2 weeks after. I took ibuprofen every morning to stop the pain. & My belly button didn't hurt at all, it was just sore the few days after getting it pierced.

It depends on how sensitive the area being tattooed or pierced is. The more sensitive the area, the more painful.

Tattoo - after it stops feeling like you're getting stabbed with a needle, it just feels like someone has a lighter up against your skin burning you. It goes away after they put that wonderful stuff on it that cools it off. Frankly, it's been 3 years since I had my tat, and I'd do it again!

Uhh...I don't really know, but I'd say based on people's pain resilience it's different for all. Ummm....I'm afraid to get one done, you're braver than me...
