Seeing as Christ's death and resurrection is one of the key features of Christianity, I'd have to say yes. Any church that doesn't isn't really Christian no matter what they call themselves. The same goes for the divinity of Christ.

Many words can mean the same thing. Atonement for Sinful mankind. Remissions of Sins. Savior of the World. He bore our sins on the cross. He gave His life for us. It is written a little differently throughout the bible, but the message is the same.
Romans 5:11 King James writes "received the atonement". New American Standard bible writes "received the reconciliation".
The word "Atonement" is mentioned more in the old testament under the Levitical Priesthood, where the High Priest would make an atonement (sacrifice) for Israel. Jesus is the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, an everlasting Priesthood. He gave His life once & for all & He forever is our intermediary & High Priest.
Jesus was the atonement sacrifice for the sins of mankind, our sins.
This is the foundational truth of every Christian church. Also, to recognize why. He is the innocent Lamb of God (never sinned). He is the Son of God. He is Lord. He rose from the dead because He did not sin. Death could not keep Him in the grave.

The word"atonement" means to fulfill a price. In my experience, only churches that are evangelical in nature believe and teach the atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

Real Christian churches teach that.
However, important to note there are some who call themselves "Christians" who actually don't believe in the deity of Christ (i.e. "Jehovah Witness") They don't preach 'atonement' through Christ.
The word "atonement" is used along with a few others...Salvation, redemption, reconciliation, etc...
they all refer to Christ dying for our sins, and that the only way to be "reconciled" to God is through the "atonement" of the blood...(referring to Salvation/Redemption)
Some groups use these words interchangeabley...but it's the same message.

Never heard of it. What is atonement? I have been taught he will be with me and give me strength in my hour of need. Jesus never sinned, why would He need to atone? See we are getting to the bottom of why religions argue. A few different words and wallah.

Yes,
Romans 3:25 (Whole Chapter)
God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, [ Or as the one who would turn aside his wrath, taking away sin] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished

The atonement is a nonsensical doctrine, and is best ignored in the interest of a person's sanity.
