Only if what was in the Bible was true, which it isn't.

You have sinners all over the world. Teenagers are at a point when life is tough because of temptations and a lot are ending up making bad choices. If you are getting caught up with temptation, continue to fight it through prayer, asking the Lord to keep you strong and ask Him to continue to lead you on the right path to do what's right in your life. Don't think that teenagers are doomed for hell. You have to keep faith and live your life the way the Lord would want you to.

Nothing in that passage suggests that the punishment for gossiping is eternal damnation. It just says gossiping is not a good thing and that it does not please God. Fortunately, God is merciful, because gossip runs rampant not merely in high school but through much of society, including in many churches. This is one of many human foibles that we should try to overcome. In fact, what you are doing is kind of like gossiping, in that you are taking little bits and pieces of the Bible and twisting the meaning or exaggerating the point in order to attack those who believe in the Bible. This is a mean-spirited approach to a religious discussion, just as gossiping is a mean-spirited approach to taking an interest in your neighbors. This approach is unlikely to persuade anyone and is contrary to the spirit of community of Yahoo! Answers.

Yes, but first they have to work at some terrible company or huge corporation, get married, have kids, get old, get sick, get well, get to know mothers-in-law, become grand parents, fight in wars, see their kids get killed, become junkies or die of some other horribly preventable tragedy. Going to hell will be like taking a holiday. Anyway, after about ten thousand years of purgatory you get used to having some demon stick knives in you. It just gets boring. What's so good about going to heaven anyway. After an eternity anything gets boring.

Thank the Lord that God has given us choice and not simply designed some for heaven and some for hell. I teach teenagers and my heart goes out to them. I truly hope they all find Jesus.

Grace and peace to you in Christ's name.

Hell is a Christian concept, and according to Christianity, the Law of the Old Testament is no longer applicable, so we can violate as many laws as we want and still get into heaven through faith and repentance.

The question should be, "Are people destined to go to hell?" No. People go to hell because they choose to go there. They choose to go there by not not choosing Jesus Christ as their Savior.
