You can work, but it is a dangerous proposition. To be eligible for SSD, you have to prove there is NO job in the economy you can sustain earning "SGA." Every dollar you earn means you have to earn that much less money for the SSA to prove you are not disabled.
If you think you may have gotten better and can return to work, call the SSA and ask about a trial work period where you can make $1,000,000,000,000,000 per second and still get your full SSD benefit for up to 9 months in a 36 month window.
