First of all on your Christian statement. I believe you are wrong. I think many Christians will be saved from this, however I don't think it will be because you are Christian or any other religion. I believe God will save those people who ought to be saved, not just go and grab somebody because of thier religion.
In other words only the people who are truelly Gods people will be saved.
As for the end of the World it will still be a while. Yes, the beginning is already apon us, however the big parts of it are still to come. I believe the big part will start off by a warning from God. Then a some sort of a sign to the Athiests. After that I believe that when the antichrist comes we will all have a decision to make. After that decision Jesus and others will come down and save Gods people. I would guess about 6 months after the antichrist comes. The AntiChrist will rule the world for about 7 years. The first few will be the most peacefull this World has even seen. It will truelly be World peace. This is how he will fool people, I believe he will even fool the Pope at that time.
After he has gotten everybodies trust he will show his true colors, by this time it will be too late. The Vatican will be destroyed along with every government in the World. The few remaining good people will be tortured beyond belief unless they follow him. They will not be killed, just tortured beyond belief for about 4 years.(when Jesus returns) And no, the AntiChrist will not be doing anything evil; it will be the people who follow him.
When his approx. 7 years are over Jesus will come down again and Satin himself will bow at his feet. I believe the good people that are still on this Earth at this time will be the ones that inherit the Earth. The ones that are saved will remain in Heavan until a time when both Heavan and the Earth are joined. It won't be immediate for God will want to reward those loyal to him/her who indured the 7 years first.

No religion has been able to convey the message that only LOVE can bind one another and save the human race from extinction. Loving this planet as a supreme being created by God is the only answer. Matter cannot be considered dead matter. We must love this planet and form a human chain around HER to assure HER that we are the loving children of Mother earth. God of all around reality may provide a chance for the human specie.

Israel is sheltered and treasured by God. I am sure that this may be just the beginnings of the end, but we have a way to go yet according to Scripture. THings are falling into place, but we do need to pray and get God's word out there to all who will hear, to those who have ears to hear. All may not listen, but we are seed-planters and Jesus commands us to do so. Also, we are told to occupy until HIs return and not just sit idly by (Luke 19:11-27)
He is returning and we will be raptured first, praise God, so keep lookin up :)

When you hear about North Korea being busted up and missionaries go in then you know Jesus will come.
Jesus will not come untill everyone has had a chance to hear the Gosspel.
\North Korea is the last country that is blocked off from the entire world. I believe God loves them to and wants his word sto be heard there before he comes
Just my thought

I was a little worried actually when Osama declared his so-called "Holy War" I do contemplate these things. Including the fact that I have children and will they be ok. will they make the right decisions? But I also believe that there is an afterlife...I just hope I am right. And do good things in this life to make it not so hard in the next one.
(fingers crossed)

I am afraid because I am not sure I will be among the saved...
I do agree that the future looks grim. For some of the frightening details of what is expected ahead, check this link out:

All the signs point to the end of the world being on it's way. I hope so..I'm not afraid of Christ coming to reclaim his people..because I'm going to be one of them.

Do you realize that Christ' (first appearance) was actually the beginning of the end?
Seriously. no joke. Check it out in scripture...(Please read carefully....)
"Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself." Hebrews 9:26
(notice: But now he has appeared once for all at the 'end of ages'...)
OR how about Hebrews 1:2 which states:
"but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. "
...another indication of end times:
Acts 2:17 says:
'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."
2 Peter 3:3 says:
"First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires."
(all this stuff is happening "now"...so it should put "time" in context for us. We are in the last days/end times.")

Possibly. We will not know until it is upon us.
Regardless of endtimes or just horribly brutal times, prayer can help.
I am not afraid but I'm also in no hurry to leave. I have a pretty good life going on here and would like to keep it.
