Huskies are beautiful loving dogs. However, you MUST consider a few things before you get one.
If you live in a warm climate He/She will be very miserable unless you faithfully keep her shaved. Especially under her belly. Also Huskies are bred to be working dogs. They have an inborn instinct and a NEED to run so you must have somewhere he can run long and fast. You should see your Vet on a regular basis (all pet owners should). They normally need a very high protein diet but if they are not very active I really don't know if this holds true.
You are doing a responsible thing by asking. Keep researching before you buy. Please however, consider checking with your local SPCA or Humane Society. You just might find what you're looking for.
If you can give a husky the care it needs (as with all animals) I hope you find one and that the two of you have a long loving pet/owner relationship.
Lot's of luck!

My husband and I have two Siberian Huskies. We got one as a stray, and adopted the other one from our local animal shelter. Where I live in California, huskies (that are AKC registered) sell for around $600-$1,200. They require a lot of work (a lot of exercise, brushing, etc.) but are definitely worth it. They are my absolute favorite breed of dog!

I have a husky. He is mixed with a german shepherd, and he is blonde...literally. He is SO cute.
We did not pay for the dog. He was advertised in the paper for free, and I love him so much.
I don't know how much huskies cost, sorry.

Huskies are great dogs. Viisit the shelter in your area and see if they have any there. Spend a little time with one and see if you think it is the right dog for you.

around 500 and up.
my grandparents have had two great huskies. my favorite breed.
:::::you might want to meet the dog in its earlier years and gently pet it at first. those dogs my grandparents owned were part wolf- like a lot. the could easily hurt something unless you show them you love them.:::::::::
