Any place that provides a flexible schedule. Someone that will work with you when you need thursday night off at the last minute because you forgot to study for your history exam. You may want to consider fast food, pizza making, a restaurant, retail, golf caddy, lifeguard, babysitter, etc...
For a first car I would recommend something that is reliable. Look for low mileage unless you are looking at a honda or toyota which are famous for enduring through high mileage. Also 4 cylinders to prevent your whole check from being used to pay for gas. Have it checked out by a mechanic if possible. Also, i think something small like a two seat car that discourages having lots of friends (distractions) in the car is best. There are a couple of sporty 2 seat hondas (like the del sol) that are reliable.
Also car insurance is going to be pretty expensive so look online or check with your agent to check the cost for different types of cars before buying.

The best place for a teen boy....I would say for a 1st job, a super-market would be good experience. Best new car for a teen??? Something inexpensive that the TEEN can afford, not the parents. And something kinda big....most people would say their first car was a "learning tool". Mine was a Bonneville that belonged to an old couple. I'd stay FAR AWAY from sports cars....too many tickets, too high of insurance and then the teen is in deep doo doo.

McDonalds....serisouly, i've never worked there but i know it will teach you many things about the workforce.
Car - anything under $2,000 because everyone messes up their first car, ask anyone.

movie theaters or in san diego sea world or maybe pizza hut they are so good. a car with 4 wheels and runs. :-)
