Does anyone have any good ideas for organizing my young daughters hair stuff--elastics, barrettes, scrunchies and stuff? They just seem to get everywhere and I can never keep them all together so I can see what I am looking for....

A fishing tackle box, they come in all sizes depending on how much she's got, and they have lots of compartments for different categories. When you open, you can see it all at once. I use them for my makeup, and they are cheaper than the ones made for cosmetics. Plus, now they make girly character fishing tackle boxes...barbie, my little pony...

There are a lot of options. I found a red wicker chest at Big Lots for $20. It has 3 big drawers & 2 side by side smaller ones. The drawers are lined with a soft canvas that can be removed & replaced. You can get one of those storage carts at Wal-Mart or Target. Some have wheels, some don't. If Caboodles are still made, those work too. You can get plastic baskets or trays to use. The final product will depend on your storage space where it'll end up.

I made a doll that hangs on the wall to hold all of my daughter's hair thingies. All you need is a pillow head and some yarn. Make the dolls hair long and briad it into parts. Then you can put barretts and pony tails, ect. on the braids to hold them. It's a fun addition to thier room or the bathroom and it keeps everything in pairs and organized.

Any storage containers with different compartments and trays to place combs, brushes, etc in. I use a fishing tackle box that wont crack when dropped and it has different sizes compartmemts to hold brush, comb, etc. I bought my tackle box at Big 5 and it hold everything. Shampoo and Conditioner, and the small items and it closes and locks and I dropped it and it did not crack or had the items spill out all over the place.
