I used to get scared too watching scary movies. Sleep with a light on and know that NOTHING can hurt you and that the movie you saw is fake, it's not real. Just remember that Kate Hudson (the girl that was in the movie) was also in a movie where she was a writer for a magazine and was writing about how to lose a guy in 10 days. She isn't really a writer...just like what she did in the Skeleton Key isn't real either. You need to watch a funny movie to make yourself feel better. I promise....nothing can hurt you. You'll be just fine tonight. Sweet dreams!!

couple things:
1) keep tv on-somethin dumb like a sitcom or a show like on TLC.
2) take an antianxiety
3) keep watching scary movies
Swear- I used to be the same as you-literally terrified, but my husband made me keep going to these dam things (in the theater, where I'm the ONLY one screaming my head off) and I desensitized. Now, they do not bother me at all and I can watch the big ones.
Btw, Skeleton Key was scarier than most give it credit.

just keep saying to yourself that there's no such thing as whatever you saw in the movie. i watched the ring, and was scared out of my head for three months! i thought every corner i turned the girl would be right there!! lol. i know how it feels. just keep on saying and convincing to yourself that its not real, and just wait. time will fade away the images and the memory from your head. of cousre, i'm still scared of the ring girl, that i might see her, but not so much anymore. this kind of stuff has to do with your mind, try not to think about it, and just let time do its stuff. hope you get away from the memory soon, because after time, the images aren't so vivid anymore and can't scare you anymore than it's meant to scare you. with you all the way. good luck. =)

Go to the blockbuster or what ever and tell them you want to see the funniest damn movie they've ever seen. Get more than one opinion, rent them both. Watch them both back to back.
What I did as a kid watching horror movies? Root for the monster. Try to make it funny. Make fun of it. Make fun of bad acting wherever you see it. Make fun of the idiot that always has to go check it out cause you know their gonna get nailed first. Making fun of something that scares you is a great step toward not being scared of it any more. Once you teach yourself to laugh at your fear, you soon won't be afraid of it any more. Examples:
Yeah, you got ripped in half for being stupid! Way to go moron!
Well duh! Of course he was hiding behind the door! But you had to open it!
Yep, he's gonna getcha and your too stupid to get away... SEE I TOLD YOU SO!
Oh yeah, that's a believable scream, what is your boyfriend the actor playing the monster?
No sh*t sherlock, tell us something we don't know!
Reactions to on screen:
"Oh no! Joey's dead!": And what was your first clue? His head on that post maybe?
"It's poison!": Good drink up and end this sucker of a movie already.
"Don't open that door!": Don't waste your breath when you should be running, idiot.
"Look, there's the way out!" : And you aren't going to use it because getting eaten by and alien is more fun!
"How did you get in here?": Who effing cares!!!! Run stupid!!
I hope this helps you even just a little.

Just remember than the ones you saw, were only movies. And when you can, avoid seeing scary ones. I saw one recently, but it didn't scare me much, because I knew that what occurred in it was an impossibility.

Get a Bible and goto the Psalms (in the middle of the Bible), read through a few of them and ask the Lord to give you peace.. I will pray for you too...
The Bible is the "Living Word", it is not like any other book... it has the power to change your life because the words are God's.

Hope no one is watching you. Like in that movie scream 3. The phone rings, the girl answers, the girl dies. Horror movies suck.

the unique "Halloween" with Jamie Lee Curtis is somewhat terrifying and genuinely no longer gross in any respect. The scene the place you think of she's killed him interior the mattress room and interior the background you notice him take a seat up will run chills down your backbone. there is somewhat no gore in it the two, purely a very frightening journey. believe me!
