The war is with Hezbollah & if the Lebanese Government really wanted to get rid of these terrorists they should get a backbone, and deploy their troops to help Israel to rout them out of their country.

It's the Lebanese that are brainless. Just return the 2 Israelis, and Israel will stop!

I was shocked when I first heard that Lebanon was being attacked.
Unfortunately, you're caught in the middle because of Hezbollah.
Yes, this war could've been prevented.
Israel seems to share the same war mentality as the U.S., and it's no surprise that those 2 countries are staunch allies.
Stay safe!

Well, apparently Hezbollah and Hamas feel that this war is a must. As for the Lebanese people struggling, look outisde, I don't see any of your countrymen outisde waving flags/banners demanding that each terrorist organization release the hostage they are holding, which by the way, is all it would take for Israel to stop the attacks. All your coutrymen seem to be at these rallies for Hamas and Hezbollah. If you wanted this war to be prevented, then stop Kidnapping people.

What gives you the right to kidnap people, bomb people, and in actuality are terrorists!
Seems to me that most of your fighting has been among yourselves. A cedar, your national symbol, is split representing Lebanon's tragic civil strife.
You have no laws: regardless of sectarian affiliation, Lebanon has no civil code for personal matters. Lebanese citizens therefore live and die according to sectarian stipulations. Each sect has its own set of personal status laws that encompass such matters as engagement, marriage, dowry, annulment of marriage, divorce, adoption, and inheritance. These laws are binding on the individual, whether one is a practicing member of the sect or not. The confessional system of personal-status laws strengthens the role of communal religious leaders and impedes the evolution of Lebanese nationalist or universalist secular ideas.
You bomb yourselves, kill US Marines by an IED, and attack anyone you feel like!
I think most of your issues are of your own making and you should get your act together before blaming someone else for your issues!!

It is simple if you get rid of Hezbollah, you get rid of the war. Hezbollah is not doing this for his beloved country, he is doing this for the same reason Osama bin Laden attacked the World Trade Centers, publicity. All Hezbollah wants is for name recognition on Fox News. If Lebanon really wanted to avoid war, which I don't think is true, they should have removed Hezbollah and his supporters. I feel that Lebanon wanted Israel to attack it to gain more support for the arabs against Israel

Yes, it could have been prevented. If the Lebonese government had taken control of Hezbollah, and done more to prevent attacks into Israel, there wouldn't be any need for a war like this. Sorry to say it, but your country brought this on itself.

If your country stayed out of it ya'll wouldn't be getting the wooping that you deserve. You are helping a country that has taken 2 soldiers hostage. And if you were a soldier you would know you never leave man behind. Israel gave them a chance to give them up but they wanted to push them so they all are getting what they deserve. Including you. Stop helping them and stop fighting Israel before more of your people get killed

The sad fact of the matter is that your nation has tolerate attacks on another country to be launched from your soil.
This makes you a party to the conflict and a legitimate target yourself.
You could have prevented this simply by not allowing people to attack Israel from your country.
This is all your own fault.
