You won't mess up your credit at all.... BUT - be aware of the fact that nearly ALL cell companies will charge you anywhere from $150 - $200 to get out of your contract before it expires. THEY WILL BILL YOU for this! Now, there are some ways around it... If sy, you live in an area that has poor coverage, report it to them, and they fail to do something about it? You can use that as your grounds for leaving. Also, the better business bureau has a special online method that can be used to counter this type of billing action. Please note - this does NOT relieve you of these financial obligations necessarily! BUT, they have been helpful in my case on more than one occasion when switching companies prior to my contract expiring, and has led to me avoiding having to pay this early termination fee, without it affecting my credit in a negative way. Good luck!

You won't mess up your credit, although you will have breached the contract.
