Is a gift card from any store, considered as a good gift ?

Yeah i would say so, so they can buy anything they want. But sometimes it's hard for them to decide what to buy with the gift card. some ppl rather have a present that comes from the heart. It's the thought that counts

They're good. But why not cash instead? How did a gift card become "better" than cash? I guess it keeps your friend from blowing it on crack! And now that I'm older I give all my friend's kids gift cards since I have no idea what they like anymore. Now I just have to know a store they like which Mom/Dad can tell me. So, yeah, go for it.

I think it a good gift for most people but I think it depends upon the age of the person. I would not give a gift card to younger kid because they like the ripping open of gifts and playing with the toy/present right away.

Some people deserve only gift cards. My father in law hates everything he gets and ends up returning it then getting something he really wants. He only gets gift cards from me anymore. Plus who doesn't like getting the gift of shopping!?

It's a great gift!!! Well if I were you I'd find out the favorite store of whoever you're giving the card to. Just do that and u'll have the perfect gift! lol

Yeah... they now have those American Express gift cards which people can use at mostly any store, so it gives them more freedom to choose what they would like the spend the money on, instead of being forced to go to a certain store.

It depends on the situation and the person you are buying for. For example, a music gift card is great for a teen, or to a bookstore for a younger child.

i think that gift cards are a great idea because it means the recipient can pick a gift that they will like rather than getting a gift from you that they dont like.... This way everyone is happy... i buy them for my hubbies teenage brother and sister

yes... it is better to give a card than to give a material thing... The best gifts comes from actions.. not from material things...
