Years ago, a wise Imam Kamel ibn Abdul Aziz of the Zaidiyyah sect took the bold stand to support Israel and their right to exist. He was condemned by the Sunni and Shiite sects as being kufar.
But really the question begs to be asked. We as Muslims spend so much effort to eradicate Israel- would our time be better spent bettering ourselves and our people- money spent training suicide bombers could be spent educating them so they could live a good life instead of dieing as a so-called martyr.Money spent firing missles into Israel could be spent giving Palestinians a meaningful life regardless of what country they live in or what it is called.
Egypt learned years ago that all Israel wanted was to be left alone. Jordan learned this as well. Why is it the majority of Muslims just do not get it ?

I personally think many would believe to even come to a compramise would be admitting defeat. And while peace is a good idea, and I do support it, humans are flawed. And we don't have a good history of just giving up and giving in. we want to win at all costs.
Besides if there is muslim, and or jewish scripture that supports the war, or can be mis interperated to be supporting war, and you believe that by war you are doing whats right wouldn't you do it? Or at least consider it?
I also think there are alot of hurt feelings on both sides. And be honest if your family and or friends were hurt by a certain person, wouldn't you, at least somewhere inside want revenge on that person? Right or wrong, we are like I said only human. And some are going on the basis that the jews, or muslims hurt my family, so I will hurt them.

If all Muslims thought as you - there would be peace - Palestinians and the rest of the Muslim Nations could have a Utopia with Israel sitting in their midst as friends.

i think a good chunck support israel in the muslim world (this chunk is small maybe 7-10 percent) think about the smaller nations they tend to not mind its only a few big nations that don't
