I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!!!!
To all the people that say "I am proud that my family fought & died for this country" - did you ever stop to think what you are saying?
You are PROUD that your great-grandparents fought & killed other human beings, just so that the government could claim a piece of land?
Get a grip on reality.
IT IS NOT HEROIC!
IT IS MURDER.
No offence to your family, but I would not be proud of that little fact.
I liked your story, MANGA.
But I am not the ending of THAT story.
My story goes a little something like this:
Once upon a time, there were many ships heading for "a new land" - a perilous land full of interesting and scary (many deadly) animals. Many believed it to be a cursed land, good for nothing.
The ships were full of criminals, sentenced to a life of slave labour - not worthy to be executed in their homeland. They settled near the water and started to multiply.
The natives caused little trouble, only stealing a sheep every now and then, but they were classed as "savages" and were thought to be dangerous. You know the drill...
A few years down the track and more settlers arrived from England, and started to populate the land. It was commonly thought that the natives could not properly care for their young children, so they were taken away from their families. This is now known as the "stolen generation". Many were put into religious boarding schools, but the lucky ones were used as slaves.
Many of these "stolen" children are still searching for their blood relatives today.
Unfortunately - years down the track - they are still viewed as "lower class", even though they are no different to everyone else. This land belongs to them, but that fact has still not been recognised.
I am ashamed of this part of my countries history.

Illegal Imigrants implies that a country was extablished and laws were in place to label people as illegal. None of which was true until after the people that you are referring to settled into the Americas just like all of the other nationalities that were here before the Italians landed their ships here in the 1400's. No one was illegal until the US established Immigration Law which was established in the early to mid-1900's. Stop complaining. The original settlers of the US were bad businessmen and didn't have a clue about international trade nor did they take the time to figure it out. It's their own fault for not looking past their own greed to see what was going on. If the Natives want the land back, pay the fair market value. God knows that their Casinos, Liqour Stores and Cigarette Stores make enough money.

I think it's a better story than the one where once upon a time boats full of greedy, violent men came to the New World in search of riches. They brought weapons, armor and horses. They slaughtered and enslaved the people they found, in the name of God. They claimed the land for distant royalty, built cities and started intermingling with the local populations. The blood of the conquerors mixed with the native population until now there is little difference. Ultimately, though, they did not do a very good job with building a civilization. Corruption, incompetence and indifference interfered with progress, and the country that could have been so magnificent has been a shambles for centuries. Instead of working to correct the problems, defying the corruption and demanding a government that will provide for the basic needs of its own people, the citizens run to the north, to a better country, and oddly enough, demand their rights there, instead. To paraphrase, "You're now the ending."

At any point in this story, did the the guy writing the "story" learn how to spell the word "illegal" instead of "iligal"? Learn to read and write before you crawl up on your moral highground.
Also I wonder about this point that you made:
"Not before long, they started killing the americans, stealing their land, their food, driving them out, the changed their language, their laws,,they tried to get rid of them, for some reason they would not shut up and die".
So what are you saying? Your really poorly made point is that americans were the illegals of yesteryear, i got that, and the native americans were who in the analagoy? The white guys of today? So, according to your analogy it is today that the mexicans are killing, stealing food, changing the language? Are you also advocating that americans need to do the noble thing and "not shut up and die", as you put it?
You are as hateful and ignorant as any redneck that hates immagrants from mexico, you just have a diffrent agenda. You one one side, and stupid red neck and NASCAR loving, american flag waving morons on the other will destroy this country. Congrats!

Everything you say is loosely true, that is why we Native Americans wouldn't want to see the some thing happen again. We will be on the white mans side as we have for hundreds of years now. But we have not forgotten, that is why we see such a need to stop what is going on now before it goes to far. We know that our present government is blind to what is happening, or is in on it for some unknown reason. That is why all true Americans need to find a legal way to fight this invasion. The invasion not just by Mexicans but by terrorists from the Middle East taking advantage of the situation while our government has most of its troops in a foreign land fighting a senseless war. But we the common people have defended this country before and we can do it again. learn more about a legal way of fighting back, go to URL below;

I hope these illegal immigrants you talk about can spell better then you. If I didn't know any better I'd think a five year old wrote what you wrote.
And its great they drove those filthy Mexicans out. If they didn't we in America would be poor and stupid (just try reading your question above for an example).
Look at Mexico for a moment. The place is a cess pool of corruption. The water down there will make you run faster then Carl Lewis. And how about that great Mexican economy folks? So great people are dieing to sneak over to America literally. Believe me we are better off kicking those goofs out and starting our own system.
Here's a little history lesson my uneducated friend. Africans were selling there own people to the "new" Americans. These African tribes were just about breaking their necks trying to get rid of their people for a profit. And these so called African slaves who were sold out by their own kind had it a hell of alot better here then there.
The Mexican American war is over. You lost and we won, get over it.

I think you need and education, if Mexico still owned the southwest, then the Mexicans would still be coming here illegally, only they would be crossing the borders of Nevada, Denver, Utah. Oklahoma and Louisiana. because Mexico would still be a corrupt country and the southwest would look just like Mexico dose now, so what the hell is the difference. We have all heard that story before. And we did not land illegally their was no government back them no laws for building houses, it was just Indians and they welcomed us, and if it weren't for the Indians the first settlers would have starved that first winter.

EeeeeeeeeHoleeeeee! Mangy!
It sounds like you are a little concerned about the future. That is what you are asking about ....right?
I guess it would be obvious to an educated person that you probubly are not ...educated I mean. But that's OK too! What is so frightening to all us crazy Americans is that most of the illegals are Mexicanos ...and they think and intellectualize on the level of this story. I must give you some credito though. I like the concept you used to get your point across. It kinda reminds me of going along the river and through the woods to get to where ever it is you are going. Kinda like those illegal alien folks.
My ending is a bit terse but here it goes. This is just a sick attempt at humor and I hope it translates. No viciousness really intended. I hope you'll understand.
All these illegal/ terrorist folks and an American were sitting around a bar drinking one day. The Mexicano drank down his beer and tossed the glass up in the air and after drunkenly shooting at it several times, managed to hit it as it lay on the floor and shatter it to pieces. He then proudly said: Glasses are so cheep in Mexico, we don't need to drink out of them more than once!
Then this nice, Iraqi terrorist fellow gulped down his whiskey and tossed his glass in the air, pulled out his AK-47 and fired a clip wildly trying to trace the airborn glass. Finally one of the last few rounds in the clip broke the glass into pieces. The Iraqi looked around proudly until he realized that his wild shooting had killed all his brother Iraqis at arms in the room before he had hit his mark. Bummer! Ignoring his "miscalculations" he proudly announced: There is so much sand to make glasses out of in my country, we don't need to drink out of a glass more than once!
Well, at this point the American (who was a Texan), cool as a cucumber, drew his American made Colt 45 and shot both the Iraqi and the Mexican dead and said: In America, We have so many Iraqi terrorists and Mexican illegals, we don't need to drink with any of them ...more than once.

Yours is a sad story. I feel for you. If you truely tried to do things the right way, the legal way for 28 years, then someone needs to step up and help you. The problem is that their are alot of people who have been doing things the wrong way, the illegal way. It is because of this that we need a reformed immigration policy. We need to stream line the process so that those who are trying to go throught the system the right way are helped and those who are illegally here are deported. We need to close our boarders. We need to deal with the people who are already here in a way which is within the confines of the law. Then , after that is done, we need to have a legal immigration policy and a zero tolerance policy towards illegal activity of all kinds including illegal immigration. To the company who you work for, I feel zero sympathy. If they knew you were illegal and hired you anyway, then they need to be fined and fined heavily. I am sorry if that hurts those others who work for that company and are legla, but the law must be followed. That is my opinion for what it is worth.

I am proud of my ancesters for fighting a war which gained this country for us.
Live and let live. That is in the past and we are greater for it (except for the slavery part).
Illegal immigrants are illegal now because they don't care to go through the proper channels to gain citizenship, not because they are rebeling against their government and taking over a lightly populated land.
