Alright, I need help. I have this friend who gets upset/mad at some of the stuff that I say or make comments about when I am around him. However, the thing is he doesn't get upset if someone else were to say something similar to him. What does this mean? Why does he get so upset with me and not with others?

I have to add that it is little things that I say. Some of the things that I say are about his personality, things I have noticed, and I do say them nicely. Other things are just comments I make about life in general. Some comments are goofy and some are serious. However, there are just times that he seems to get impatient with me about them. Like I said he doesn't do it with others. It confuses me and makes me cautious of what I say.

He clearly holds you in higher regard and values what you have to say more than others. I am in a serious relationship with someone who feels the same way. She can handle certain comments by certain people, but when I utter similar comments, she is appalled and offended. She expects more from me because she is invested.

It sounds like your friend is equally invested in you. You should be flattered!

If you have to ask this question, you are certainly not a friend. At lest not in the definition of the word friend as given in a dictionary or under moral code of ethics.

Just a guess here, and that he thinks what you have to say is important, more important than what others say. So please be doubly sure of what you are saying to him, that is if you like him.

Or he may be frustrated in that you two are friends and nothing more intimate. That one, well, that's up to you. Would you like to be more than friends? Has it even crossed your mind that he may be feeling romantic thoughts towards you?

I really don't think you and him should be together. maybe he doesn't like you. he maybe FAKE likes you to make you feel better without knowing he doesn't like you. he probably gets upset easily and does is on purpose.??!!.
