They are soooo beautiful and playful! I just want to make sure that its an appropriate investment. If you have knowledge of common health problems with them, please elaborate. Thank you!

Do you mean the $200? My daughter has one and he is very smart and very playful not to mention beautiful!

take a picture of one to the local shelter, humane society or SPCA...I'm sure you'll find one among the MANY HOMELESS animals that need a good home. talk about an investment there...they are already fixed, had their shots and many are very socialized, the staff can tell you the personality of the cats and you know that the cat is healthy. there are always kittens at the shelter.
you'd be giving a cat a good home, and they'd love you forever for it!
why BUY one when there are so very many that need a good home? please think about it. I'm sure your "top dollars pure breed" cat is nice, but regular old cats are great too.

My friend has 2. They are gorgeous and very playful. She feeds them high quality food and gives them appropriate vet care. No problems.
