I'm trying to frame some photos and am looking for a place to get inexpensive frames and mattes of various sizes.

Check out Ross, TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory for the frames. They buy out Aaron Brothers and department stores overstock and sell them a really low discount prices. Mattes can be purchased in full size sheets at Michaels Craft stores and you can cut them to size yourself to save $$$.

If you have time and patience, yard sales & thrift stores always have something. Big Lots, Target, KMart & Wal Mart always have really inexpensive frames with mats already in them. If you want something more original or personal for each photo, you can paint them. Sometimes, Ive found framed and matted pictures of flowers, but I only liked the frame and matt, so I made sure I could take it apart and take out the flower photo and put in my own at home.
