- Firstly ( and most importantly) after you pack, label ur suitcase with ur name + address. So in case u loose ur suitcase u can tell the airport authorities it had ur name on it, and when they find they could mail it 2 ur address.
- Leave on the air conditioner if u get a window seat. This will prevent u from puking.
- Take chewing gum ( even if the plane has a rule against it; after ur finished with, just spit it out in a paper bag u will find in the seat in front of u). U will need it when the plane takes off, because then ur ears kind of pop ( u will know what i mean once ur on the plane). Chewing something ( especially gum) helps.
- take something like a walkman, a cd player or something like that 2 keep u busy during the flight.
- and last but not least, be polite to the steward and ur fellow passengers.

well enjoy the trip and

good luck

Congratulations. I hope you are not going alone. Flying is safer than driving. To expedite your flight you should heed the following advise. Don't know how long you are going for but ... Use the pre-check in option so that you can get your seat assignment and whiz through the security process and go straight to the gate. Instead of checking in your luggage carry on your luggage with you on the plane. This will get you out of the airport quicker and lessen the chances the airline loses your luggage.Hopefully you called ahead of time and have some sort of transportation ready for you at the airport. This will avoid the awkward getting of a cab not speaking the language getting lost ,ripped off etc. If you arranged for a guide even better.Oh, by the way... Drink only bottled water and NO ICE. You'll thank me later.
PPS Don't eat the worm. Good luck and have a great trip.

Bring many things to do, like crossword puzzles and magazines. It depends on witch airline some have tv's with movies or some have music. Sometimes your ears will pop and can be quite uncomfortable but you will get used to it and next time you will be fine. Sometimes you tend to bounce around in the air, but it usally is not that bad. Don't forget your passport on the plane and sit back and relax.

First things first: Arrive at the airport about 3 hours before you are scheduled for departure. You will need it for security checks and all that. On the plane, I would bring some reading material, as stated above, because you may not want to watch their movie selection. On descent, your ears will begin to "pop." It occurs when you're going into slightly denser air. Bring gum to chew and/or something to drink (more importantly, swallow), as it really helps relieve the pressure. All in all, enjoy yourself!

Don't forget to bring your passport. While on the plane, keep your plane ticket and passport near you. There'll be a form on the plane you have to fill out.

Bring some reading material. You'll be in an uncomfortable chair for a long time.
Bring your cd/mp3 player for some relaxing music.

bring something to do. on long trips they start a movie. definitely have some gum for lift-off and landing. I love airplanes. Except for those really small 4-seaters that private pilots fly. i think that the most exciting part is when you're on the airport trying to find your way around.

It is going to be boring. Take headphones, books, mags, cards. Anything to keep yourself occupied.

Put all expensive items (jewelry, cameras, cd players, wallet, money, cc cards, etc) in your take on. If they don't get stolen they could get broken.

Plane food is not as bad as they say, but take some snacks just in case you get delayed.

Don't buy headphones from the plane if they show a movie, your headphones will plug in the armrest just fine. (Or they should anyway.)

Last but not least...if you take a vibrator, take out the batteries. If it goes off in your luggage, they keep it for inspection.
