What was your coolest dorm theme?

We did a safari theme in our dorm room that was really cool. We got cheap tiger print fabric in the clearance section of the local discount store, used starch to adhere it to the ugly concrete block wall. Then we got comforter sets one of which looked like a zebra and one looked like elephant skin. We bought some wooden masks at Pier One and used them like pillows on the bed. We found an inexpensive rug that looked like a zebra skin to put between our beds. We made a valance that looked like giraffe fur for the window. Very cool and everyone played with the masks when they visited, made for some fun photos, too.

Ive never lived in a dorm but Ive visited plenty of my friends in them, guys and girls. The best one Ive seen is a beach theme. It really brightened up the whole room and made it look a lil bigger

Tropical forest. It is easy to find artificial plants at Hobby Lobby or Walmart. Add a string of Christmas lights around the ceiling to add a special effect!

I lived in the dorms for 2 years, but we were never able to paint / decorate them. :(

Yes, all four years of college. I was a total girly girl so the complete Laura Ashley look was the thing for me.
