What can we do to stop the propsed bill introduced by Sen. Ted Stevens. Phone and cable companies that want to charge websites for faster content delivery. This could be the tip of the iceburg paving the way for higher fees, censorship and an establishment of Big Brother controlling the net. Right now I think all we can do is contact our own Senators and other Senators on the Commerce Committee.

Don't think this is a joke check this site:

Every one pays to be on the Internet. You all are paying now. This has nothing to do with censorship so get off that horse right now. Big brother has nothing to do with this. This is the people who build and maintain the backbone want to make sure they are able to charge to build and maintain the backbone. The Internet traffic is very heavy and bandwidth intensive. When you learn the facts and keep the spooky crap out of, then come back and ask a question.

Write letters to your senators and congressmen urging them to stop this insanity.
