My cat will be walking about the house, and sometimes when somebody or somthing makes a sudden movement or sound, Rinoa (my cat) will just jump, or jump and run away. Please help.

We got her from a pet store, not an adoption center

Cats have to adjust to certain sounds and after they hear it a number of times and nothing bad happens to them, they stop reacting. When my kittens were young, they would jump at everything, from drawers opening to doors. Now they sleep right through it. But once in a while I new sound will happen and they will jump and then investigate. The new sound last night was duck tape, you know when you have to get a big piece of it ( was for a box not the cat lol) and they all jumped but then came over to sniff it lol

What kind of cat is Rinoa and how old? Kittens are usually jumpy until they get used to their surroundings. Some cats are more high strung like Siamese and Calico.

Cats are weird. They get scared easily. Try not to be very sneaky with him. Dogs are waayyy better. I hate cats. Sorry, I am admitting it.

Some cats are naturally more nervous than others. She might outgrow it one day.

don't worry. if she was abused before you got her, them the noises could remind her of her previous bashings.
