The boils are a nuisance, caused by an ingrown hair which has become infected with staph. I think, since you have had several episodes, that you and your daughter may need an anti-biotic. Check it at :

Boils: Are a inflamitory infection, meaning there is infection some where in your body and all your organs has fought the infection away, now the the bacteria infection is trying to get out and can't so it build up under the skin and become hard and painful from preasure,
there is a cream called BOIL EASE relieves pain and dries out the boil, or bring it to a head, some doctor should have informed you off this, some do laser cut which is a in out procedure, some say buy the BOIL EASE.... watch this , keep area clean as possible and dry , the BOIL EASE cream has a funny smell when applying but work wonders.....helpful for sure

Boils can be caused by internal infections or external conditions. To prevent boils from external bacteria and clogged pores, you want to keep your skin well cleaned all over just like your face (think of a giant pimple) and your environment, particularly the bathroom, very clean. Ingrown hairs can cause infections that can lead to boils, too; the ingrown hair should be treated if that's the cause. Repeated boils could be an indication of an internal bacterial infection that needs medical attention, assuming environmental bacteria isn't an issue (eg. from your bathtub or other surfaces) Treat the boils as your doctor recommends, but if you have repeat breakouts, consult with your doctor again or ask to see a dermatologist for advice.

Boils are caused by ingrown hairs, clogged pours. what that black medicine does causes the boil to form a head kinda like a zit until it ruptures clean the area as you may notice they leave deep hole that have to hill from the inside out. Sorry, that all I can tell you but, if she get any in her face take her to a dermatologist..

Usually from ingrown hairs and blocked pores. Don't let them become too large because it could be a major problem. Get it lanced ASAP!
