I used to think about it.I have lost a lot in life, I delivered a stillborn baby, my father died due to alcoholism, my brother and I stopped speaking pretty much can't stand eachother, I have social anxiety and anorexia nervosa. I don't think I can count how many times those thoughts ran through my head but I would never be able to take my own life away. I mean life has it's ups and downs but thats what it's all about. The times when I actually thought about how worthless I felt I thought about the things that I do have in my life and the people who love me and who helped me through all of my problems. These are the people that it will hurt the most If you were to take your own life. I know that it is hard to deal with and it is so overwhelming when you just can't see thelight at the end of the tunnel but it is there you need to find the strength from inside and you need to fight all the sad and dissappointing feelings that you have because you can live a happy life and enjoy things again. you need to go get help because you don't have to feel this bad anymore. Keep a journal, open up to one of your closest friends, get this burden off of your shoulders because it is just weighing you down. good luck to you and keep your head up because it will get better with time.

But ideation is where the coping begins. I realize I've gotten that low again and I need to turn those thoughts off.
Keeping busy is key. Today I watched a special on Global Warming and cleaned my room (which certainly needed it!).
Things also got better when my mom got home. I'd been alone all day. She is my main support system, so I can talk to her about how I am feeling. Find someone like that. I have learned...COMMUNICATION IS KEY! Don't hold it in. Yahoo Answers is a great step I commend you for taking, but you need to voice this to a realitive and/or friend.
I have a neurological disorder that affects my psychiatric and developmental health. I cannot work or generally get along "out there". I feel plenty useless. I voice this often. I have had many doctors who have enhanced this feeling. I am at a very low ebb right now.
But I know my mom would miss me terribly and be eternally angry with me if I took my life. After all she has gone thru with me with my illness-the hospitalizations, doctor visits, advocating, calling the paramedics and watching them haul me off when I have become violent (as a result of poor impulse control and drug interaction),and also the good times we have shared together, most esp. a vacation last fall-something we both thought not possible for me again.
I've thought about how I may not exactally "set the world on fire", but I know who I am important to and what I can do.
Knowing that is part of how I cope.

I think we all feel that way once in a while, some of us more than others. And I wouldn't mind being any other place when I am depressed; and that place includes the one in which I won't ever have to take another breath of this all-too-stifling air that pervades every part of my depressive consciousness! But it always ends up the same way--I'm too chicken to prematurely go there! I have NO IDEA what awaits me on the other side, so I end up "settling" for whatever I can get here! It's lonely, it's depressing, it's sometimes unbearable, but it's ALWAYS better than the alternative!!

I think that many people have these feelings at some time in their life. These feelings are really intense and hard to ignore.
When you are feeling like that, try and remember how your suicide will hurt the other people around you. They'll feel guilty and always wonder if it was their fault or they could have done something different that would have prevented your taking your life. Prayer helps, even if you're not religious.

well if you believe in GOD then you should understand that no one is put on this earth for no reason, and no one is useless in GOD eyes, even when others think that you are, you should always believe that no one else matters like GOD. The best way to cope with a feeling like yours is to pick up the bible and read it from cover to cover, you'll have awhole new outlook on life. I hope that this message gives you some courage to belive that you are someone and you dont want to die. just put your faith in GOD.

Know that the good Lord above Loves you and he has a plan for your life i know it is hard at time to see his purpose for us were every were we turn there seems to be gloom and doom he doe's love you yes there are many times that i wish that i wouldn't wake in the mornings but i always do my reason is cause i am in a hurry to get to heaven if you ask the lord to give you joy he will and no mater how down you feel you have to believe that you are not worthless you are a priceless child of God weather you feel like it or not. you know so many people get caught up in there own little worlds only thinking about there self's not looking at the needs of other people these are the real people who need help you may not feel like it but if you were to die there would be so many hurt people around you please do not try to hurt these people by hurting yourself. God Bless You Always I will pray for you and please don't be mad at me for doing so

It's a terrible feeling to be in the black pit of despair. You ask yourself, "what's the point of going on anymore?"
Try to distract yourself even if you have to force yourself to do it. Do something that isn't easy, that requires you to think about it.
There are web sites for people who are feeling suicidal. Look one up and read about what they have to say.
Crying out to God and asking for intervention truly helps.
If those black feelings come over you a lot, please ask for help from someone where you live. There is absolutely nothing wrong with needing help to get through...
My prayers are with you.

I never have felt that way, but it sounds as if you do, just remember that jesus loves you and that many people would indeed care if you just died, You need to cheer up so that you don't feel pathetic or lame, also you need to love yourself because no one can do that for you. you need to start doing things that make you feel good. Remember that many people around you love you. Try to escape the negativity of others and if people around you make you feel like nothing and criticize you in negative ways don't hang around them anymore.
So keep your mind on all of the people who love you and not on those who don't. :) In your eyes you maynot be much but to others you are, so do something to make you feel good about the person who you are.
