Many of you go to a lot of work to look good. Why do you act pissed off if the guy who doesn't look like Brad Pitt looks at you and smiles? I'm not talking about rude guys, just the average joe who can appreciate your effort?

Puma, I promise not to tell your girlfriend about us. JK
I'm should have specified as a stranger passing by, and certainly not rude. I tend to smile and say "thanks for brightening my day." and move on to continue my business. I'm not looking for a date, I just tend to notice and appreciate.

I do not mind at all. You are right, I DO work hard. Just be sure to smile though.
I love average joes. they are usually the best.

Male here to save your day. . .
Sneak a peek if you can, but don't get caught looking. . .it just ain't worth it. Because even if she smiles back, she's going to brag to the other ladies about what a perv you are. And to look attractive, the others will share stories of your perversion, and then you'll be "that guy".
Don't ever tell her she looks nice today, unless it's a special occaision (Christmas party, etc.), otherwise why didn't you say it yesterday or tomorrow? Are you being sarcastic, and what should she expect?
And what if she thinks you like her? You might as well marry her or quit your job now!
The only exception to this rule is if she gets a new hairdo. That is ALWAYS to be greeted with "Your hair looks great." You got that?? No other words are acceptable here.
I'm not saying you will follow my advice to the letter, but the closer you follow, the better your work environment will be.
I'm telling you the truth here, because they won't.

Some of these women that are confused about what they are after when they dress themselves specifically to be looked at will miss the looks when they quit coming. I hated the rude remarks and gestures, but I never understood why some women resented simple appreciation. Maybe it can be used as a guage to tell who you really want to talk to.

My girlfriend says to tell you that most average Joe's like you look like they just got outta bed, forgot to shave, smell like they hadn't taken a shower in two weeks and are usually missing their two front teeth. Personally, I'd be pissed too if you smiled at me. others might think we know eachother!....Sorry, sometimes the truth can really hurt. Got anymore questions?

i'm not a girl and by no means do i understand them at all but...
I guess they feel they went to all that effort and if guys can't go to the effort of looking good (or to put it your way, like "brad pitt") then what's the point of them making the effort?! It's a two way thing I guess.

For me its cause I always get the feeling some one wants something more and that annoys the hell outta me! And wishing for something more counts. It's not because the person doesn't look like Brad Pitt ( he isn't all that any how).

It's always flattering when a man looks my way whether it be Mr. Good Looking or Mr. Average or Mr. Normal. By the way I do not classify any man. I appreciate the looks but my motto stands, look but don't touch.

Shucks! You seem to be an innocent abroad.Who told you we mind. In fact we would certainly mind and be dejected if you don't whistle. But do keep it within limits. What really matters ask yourself. That you have appreciated something beautiful or that it has to be advertised to all and sundry public?
Understand. Don't worry about us. We know the instant you do.

Because some girls get offended if someone they consider "beneath them" thinks they have a chance. It's purely ego. If a guy looks, no matter what he looks like, and he's polite, I take it as a compliment.

We are actually trying to attract HOT guys. Seeing average ones looking is a sign of failure.
