My ex and i were going out for about 2-3 weeks, i know it doesnt sound like long, but i really like him and he makes me very happy. any way one of his friends is dying and he broke up with me, he cant handle everything all at once. I'm really hurt. He still wants to be friends but i just dont know if i can now. i really like him so i want to be there for him through this rough time, but i dont know if i can just be friends. i dont know whether to just try and be mates, and lthen leave it at tha or if i should be mates with him and then try and get back with him later on... He really wants to stay in contact, but the way that he told me (his mate sent me an SMS!) and the fact that im so cut up about it... you know... Please help me, i really need advice on this one, I've never been in this sort of situation before. Or email me, i_love_legop0rn@hotmail.com

He needs your friendship....don't stop being his friend...but respect his wishes to JUST be friends right now. He may have just wanted to break up but it sounds like he wants to be able to focus on his friend and he doesn't think it would be fair to you if he can't spend as much time or attention on you...Just try to be as understanding as you can be. The way he broke up with you was wrong though....ask him why he felt he had to break up with you that way. You should always break up with someone to their face if possible. Maybe he just can't bear to be around someone right now... is this the guy that lives 2 hours away from you? He probably doesn't have the time or energy for this relationship right now... just try to be his friend. He needs a friend. Don't force it though.

Be there for him and be friends with him. But be open to the possibility that he is using this as an excuse to break up. Not to say anything bad about him, but maybe he didn't know how else to do it. But if he really is overwhelmed by it all, then you can help him by being a good friend.

try and relax let things come to you slowly if you dont you will end up confused and trying to work through everything all at once, trust me... id try just being there for him that will mean alot and eventually over time you might have another chance with him try and stay as close as you can he might not really even wanted to break up with you just didnt want to bring you down with him... be careful and safe i hope he feels better and he comes out of it for you stay strong and show him you love him i hope you 2 end up being happy together good luck

you could try and give him some space,
and then go back to see him after woulds and show him that he still has your suport...
then even if it just friend and nolonger in the relationship.
and if it goes back to that then take it slowly.

I think you should suck it up and be there for him through this difficult time.
