I'm a tad cynical and skeptical, but I respect the work of Dr. Carl G. Jung who coined the phrase "synchronicity" to describe meaningful coincidences. It's up to you to decide if there is meaning in your experience.

The theory of synchronicity holds that your internal enviroment-- the sum total of your thoughts and feelings-- resonates with the external enviroment. Stronger feelings are more likely to generate an observable resonance.

Hummingbirds.... delicate, rare, beautiful, almost mystical in their movements. I will fall off the fence to the side of "yes, there was meaning."

It's a meaning that you already know for yourself. If it wasn't significant to you, you wouldn't of mentioned it. There are subtle things in life that we always overlook and happiness is a can be a subtle thing so you should just take it for what it was.
