I think most people are worse when they have a poor education. Education can keep people from being influenced by radical teachings, if that is what you mean when you bring religion into the discussion.

Absolutely yes! Where education is of lower value, the entire culture suffers. But this is something that is by design among fundamentalists of any religion, Christian or Muslim. They want their peoples ignorant so that will believe in utter nonsense. Gives them far greater control over their behavior and money.

There are claims that most Muslim radical movements feed on communities with poor to non existent formal education. Thus their followers fell prey on their leaders interpretation of the Coran, without question or corroboration.

They follow blindly whatever their leaders say.

Same thing happens with Christian and other religions, if you follow the leader without question you are as good or worse as them.

With that background, tolerance, diplomacy are useless.

Yes. Only stupid people embrace fundamentalism, and as the educational system has seriously degraded in the United States over the last three decades, the number of idiotic Christian fundamentalists has increased proportianately.

if you mean worse as in more fanatical yes if you mean worse as in more of them yes also.

sadly christianity and islam both trive in places where education levels are low. in the South christianity takes the lead where redneck farmers who dont get a decent education teach thier kids to be christian or else. as for Islamics they are usally in third world countries, and where the christians and muslims meet tension ensues.

I don't like your question because it implies that only ignorant people practice religion. This is completely untrue and frankly your side needs to come up with something else. Some of THE MOST intelligent, brilliant minds in history were devout Christians.

I'll dodge the obvious deragatory nature of the question and refer you to a brilliant mind that happened to belong to one of the premier Christian thinkers of the last century. Read his works. Read about him. Then come back and tell us about the intellect of Christians.

Worse at what? There are probably many that show more love and Christlike qualities. There is wisdom and then there is knowledge.
