There is always to sides to the coin. In one side people blame the illegal immigrants for diminishing wages and unemployment. A lot don't usually want to see the other side of the coin. The other side is the employers hiring undocumented which is against the law, and also paying under minimum wage which is against the law. So if strict laws were put on the employers about paying under minimum wage and hiring undocumented people, then illegal immigration would drop i would think. The reason the employers do this though is because, they waste less money on wages, thus their profit goes up. They avoid taxation because the gov. won't know exactly how many employees they really have. If we stop attacking illegas stright on and attack the resources that help them, cut their support, immigration might not be so bad. Think about this though, employers might pay off gov. officials to turn a blind eye to their actions.

As apposed to corporations hiring people at a high wage? The only thing that will stop immigration is improved conditions in the immigrants country of origin. Africa. Latin America. Pluto.

That's kind of a strange question. Reason....they come her working for low wages because it is still better than what they have. If we pay them more, you think it's going to deter them? No. We'll have more. Yes, corporations DO hire them. I worked for a large company and almost every single person there in the warehouse (big - a lot of people) were Mexican. This job is a hard working - extremely HOT (Florida and metal melted back there) job. Others would get hired, and never come back.

No.
Although low wages does stimulate the thoughts of a better life, the main reason for immigration is that people need jobs. In Mexico it is relativily expensive to live without a job.
Jobs are especially hard to come by also. Mexico is looking to make it so that foreigners can't work in Mexico to allow more jobs for their own countrymen.

That is a two way street...... if the illegals stopped coming to the jobs the wage would have to raise, and vise versa...! if they raise the wage, they might as well hire legal citizens!

If there is a job you don't want to do because it does not pay as much as you'd like, most likely there are thousand who will.

high wages cause companies to seek out workers to do the job for less.
