Probably. From reading the idiotic scribblings of the Christians posted all over Yahoo! Answers, I can't believe that allowing any of these people the right to vote, let alone breathe oxygen, will ever result in anything but pain, sufferring, and oppression of folks who really, at the end of the day, just want to live their lives with a minimum of hassle. Any religion that wallows in death the way Christianity does with it's ridiculous end-of-the-world fetish, will do anything it can to make sure that the end of the world actually happens.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine....
Fanaticism of any kind always ends tragically. Religious fanaticism causes WAR.
Death of humanity? Our mother earth will purge the cancers on this planet, just as before, and we will have to start all over again, unless we put down our "books" and learn to agree to disagree.
Oh, and stop making bombs. Who is America to tell any other country they can't have bombs? We won't get rid of ours, so why should they? We are experiencing widespread panic.
Once we destroy this planet again, We will come back, but alas, I will not be able to answer your question in a second's time...via internet. I wonder what we will call a computer, the next go-round? Humans are not humane. what an oxymoron. Bertrand Russell said, "The only way to redeem mankind is through cooperation." Blessed be.

I hope not, but so far we have a bad track record and we as a human race need a serious enema. I think the real problem isn't fanatical religions, but all of them.

There are literally thousands of different religious sects on this planet. Check your local phone book under churches. Can only one of them be right? How can anyone choose the right one? There is an answer, but most don't like it.

We are still in the dark ages as a species. We believe in nations, fear controls us, violence persists and war is constant. Ignorance dominates knowledge throughout large areas of the world.

The human race is in toddler mode - scared of monsters under the bed, wetting our pants after a goblin story, believing in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. We need to grow up and get away from goblins, witches, angels, demons, gods and devils.

Knowledge is the path to truth. Too many read and depend on old books written by scared little men with political agendas back before they had indoor plumbing. Those books/religions require that truth be disregarded. The Bible, Koran, Book of Mormon etc. etc. are all loaded with contradictions to science. The way to tell if something is true is through testable, repeatable observation. Not praying, hoping and worshiping.

The Human Race needs an education - to gain knowledge about the observable world, and then we can think on our own and be responsible for our own actions as legitimate members of the human race that have been delivered from the dark ages.

It's the only chance we as a species has to survive the horrors and carnage of war. Knowledge will set us free of our ignorance.

Spread the truth and maybe we'll all be saved . . . from our ignorance.

No. But what is necessary is to find a way to raise the intelligence level of humanity by an average of 50 points on an IQ scale. When people are more intelligent they will be less likely to be caught up in the whirlpool of emotions and ignorance that the fundamentalist leaders continue to stir for their own benefit.

Eventually people will realize that they are basically good people without dogmas and silly beliefs. I suspect that a significant improvement in our lives will happen then.

No but I think the Nuclear bomb may have something to do with it. Ideology no matter if religious or not is simply that ideology. Death is the end of life as it is known in the physical. I do not believe an idea ends ones life. There is a difference between religion and living ones life for Jesus Christ. If you live your life for Him you follow his attributes. This is my choice, but each one of us has to live their life to the best of their ability no matter what they believe or choose.

Yes, ironically. Well, not the death of humanity, but the ultimate degradation of its character. The antichrist will be worshipped as a deity, and that will be the darkest times of human history.

No, just look at the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement in the USA. They have wasted billions of dollars, but they have not hurt a flea. If you mean Islam, that is criminal activity and should be eradicated.

Christians are the fitest.
So the fitest will survive.

Oh and on your statement:"why do some peopel think Jesus wrote the bible when his words are third person? grow up kid i know what christianity is all about and its a dark road full of nasty people."
I said "authored" not "wrote" (ref. to Revelations 1 where we see Jesus is the author and he sent and signified it, as scripture says, note "signified it")
Also yes it is a dark road full of nasty people, because they are all following Antichrist.

Probably but I don't necessarily think it is now. There have been wars in the middle east for many many years. Things are bad there but they could subside and reoccur again 100 years from now too.
